Black Desert has been great fun on the PS4 thus far. Many hours have been spent running around questing and fishing. Navigating the menus has taken some time to get used to, but it does not take away from the games fun. The controls have been smooth and easy to use. It has been easy to lose track of time while playing as everything especially crafting seems to take a good amount of time to do. Nevertheless, it has been hours well spent leveling and exploring the world.

PC players of Pearl Abyss' Black Desert Online will notice some changes thanks to a patch released this week. Via a post on their official site, PA have detailed patch notes for the PC version of the popular MMO, specifically massive changes to the city of Velia.
Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games announced today that the Mysteries of Summer event would be continuing in Black Desert Online. Following the positive reception of the event last year, the team decided to extend the event with a ninth questline. Prizes await players who complete all nine questlines before August 28th.
In a press release for Black Desert Online, Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss revealed the release date and first details for Shai's Talent update.
The Ninja class is now available in the Xbox version of Black Desert. He brings high powered, precise attacks, concealment and stuns to the table. In addition to the new class, console players will also find two new guild bosses in the form of Ancient Puturum and Muskan of Madness. Lastly, Marni Stones have been added to give endgame players a boost in leveling past 57.
On July 10th, Black Desert Online players will be able to take part in a new PvE activity called Altar of Blood. Parties of three level 56+ players will be fighting in a defensive horde mode with each round of the battle getting more difficult and with more powerful enemies. Each round will feature an "end boss" that has to be defeated in order for the next round to begin up to a maximum of ten rounds.
