In a recent community Q&A the team revealed that it is looking to deploy small to medium sized updates on a "near monthly" basis. Other points of interest include the fact that the team did not fully expect the amount of interest in the game; that they're looking at other ways to communicate with players; the ghillie suit is being given a look as well as the 'flare' counter-measure; and no ETA on when new classes will appear, though they may show up in a different order than Korea.
Black Desert Online has been updated with a fairly beefy patch that addresses chat bans, some skill alterations for Witch/Wizard, a new holiday event that coincides with St. Patrick's Day, and lists out several new items in the in-game shop.

The Black Desert Online forum has been updated with a pithy chart called the "shitstorm matrix" that details the most critical issues faced by players during last weekend's head start program. Issues include Channel MixUp; Item Claiming and Pre-Order Confusion and Daum's suggestions for solutions, work arounds and what groups were most affected.
The Black Desert Online team has posted a short note regarding issues with one of the North American servers. A limited number of players on who had created characters on Serendia had been incorrectly placed in the wrong channels causing issues with claiming preorder items. As a result, players can either leave their character on Serendia or they can create a character on a new server. The team is working to ensure that the issue is cleared up and that all items can be claimed.
The last producer's letter prior to the beginning of the head start for Black Desert Online has been published on the game's official forum. The main discussion centers around patch notes for the final build of BDO and includes topics such as claiming event rewards, cash shop adjustments, server setup and more.
After reaching out to Daum about the costume prices in the Black Desert Online shop, the team has responded. Overall costume prices will be reduced ~10% from $32 to $29. Costume sales will continue throughout the head start period and into launch with the development team keeping a close eye on community reaction and will assess feedback received.
With the Black Desert Online head start program ready to kick off this weekend, and with launch coming early next week, Daum has announced that the game client is ready for download.

Daum has published a new in-house interview with questions gleaned from the Black Desert Online community. Questions range across a wide variety of topic, most of which would be additions or alterations after the official launch of BDO next week.
With the closed beta behind it, Daum has announced a trio of ways for players to blast off into launch of Black Desert Online. Contest include uploading a BDO music video using the game score; taking a selfie of a character on any type of mount; and a screenshot with guild mates. Prizes range from limited edition Black Spirit statues, t-shirts to in-game items.
Daum has announced that IP blocks will be put in place for the Korean version of Black Desert Online with the release of the North American and European version of the game on March 3rd.
