New Guilds, New Lore and Weekly Poll -

Lots of news happening over at Auto Assault. Today, we're treated to new guilds, new lore and a weekly poll.

Two new guilds were added to Auto Assault's Convoy / Clansite Listing: Melee Flag and The Unseen Crusaders. If you are so inclined, you can find both group's websites on the Listing

New lore was released today in the form of an "historical prelude" titled "Chapter Seven: Day 189". Also released is the final diary entry of Zorlond. The has been an August-long feature and with the month of August now behind us, it too draws to a close:

It was a balmy evening when my Biomek Scrapmaster VX pulled into Half Moon Hill. Apparently local troubles would soon rename the place ‘Pike Central' or some such, if I didn't get in there and do some serious damage control. I was met near the entrance by the local contact. Apparently things looked grim, but the remainder of the local guard was assembling, laying low until the right moment. The contact wanted me to scout the area and come back with fresh intel on the situation. I note a typo in the speech: a comma that didn't belong. I do a quick bug report before moving on.

The scouting route takes me straight through the Pike's main housing area, some factories and drill platforms, and what appears to be a storage area. I notice a line of Biomek gun turrets near the storage area, apparently offline. Pikers are all over the place, infantry, vehicles, you name it. I fire my weapons in passing; the plasma turret's high thumping rhythm distinctive over the rat-tat of Pike chainguns. I'm not really serious about combat; mostly I'm just concerned with keeping my forward patch clear.

I return to the contact. “We're profoundly outnumbered.” No duh. I am sent to rendezvous with the remaining guards, ‘derelicts' they're called: those that received Biomek enhancement, but never accepted them. A painful existence, given the ‘corrective' software built-in. Once again I drive my way across the landscape. I approach where the guard had camped; I come across six Biomek semi's waiting. I signal my arrival to the contact via a nearby panel, and the semis begin to move. The Dustman, the leader of the Pikes, has been seen, and he is our target...

Auto Assault also invites you to take part in their Wednesday poll that asks: "What would you like to see more of on our website?" Go ahead, take it.
