Trion Worlds has announced that a new Freelancer will be added to Atlas Reactor on August 30th. Named Orion, The Empyrean, he is a support character that can deal AoE damage, heal and shield team mates. The official site has a full break-down of all Orion's skills as well as advanced tactics, tips and ways for opponents to counter him.

Trion Worlds has announced that free mode has arrived in Atlas Reactor. This means that everyone can play and advance in Atlas Reactor free of charge, though there are some restrictions in place. Freelancers will be placed on a weekly rotation giving players a chance to try them all out over time.

Trion Worlds has announced that Atlas Reactor will have a "Free Mode" where players can play for an unlimited time and earn reward caches with skins, titles, taunts, styles, and emotes. Each week, a certain number of Freelancers will be made available for Free Mode players. To unlock all Freelancers, players can purchase the full game for $19.99 that also enables custom matches, tournament play and more.

Trion has announced that a week long Atlas Reactor event is ongoing from now through July 17th. Anyone is eligible to log into the game during the upcoming week plus and check out the two new freelancers, the first pass at the ranking system and much more. To celebrate the event, a new trailer was released.

Trion Worlds has announced that from June 3rd through June 5th, everyone is invited to come play Atlas Reactor for free. You can head to the Atlas Reactor site to sign up and get started when the client rolls out on Friday.

Trion Worlds has announced that an Atlas Reactor free-for-all weekend will be starting later today and will run through May 15th. This weekend marks the final event before Steam Early Access begins.

The Atlas Reactor team has posted to the official game forums to let players know that it will be transitioning to a buy to play revenue format over the coming weeks. As a result, there are some changes coming to those who have been involved in testing and who have spent money on packs. Most notably, these folks now own the game and will have access to all freelancers in perpetuity.

Trion Worlds is inviting everyone to take part in this weekend's Atlas Reactor open event. The open weekend is scheduled to begin on April 29th and will run through May 1st. Founders will receive special GG Boosts every day they take part.

Atlas Reactor beta testers are being invited to check out the latest update to Atlas Reactor. The latest content includes a new map called Evolution Solutions and the latest Season Chapter 2.

Trion Worlds has sent word that the Atlas Reactor open beta event kicks off today, Thursday, March 31st at 2:00 pm Pacific / 5:00 pm Eastern. In addition, the first round of closed beta testing will begin on April 14th and Founder's Packs are now available running anywhere from $9.99 to $99.99, each with its own set of in game skins and more.
