The Atlas Reactor team has announced that the game will be closing for good on June 28, 2019. As of today, all purchasing has ended and new "ways to acquire products that were previously for real money purchase". XP, Flux and ISO rates have also been turned up "dramatically". Servers will remain online through June 28th and anyone who logged in on or after January 1, 2018 will receive a "small parting gift" at the registered email address.

Atlas Reactor will be getting a visit from Rift's Asha Catari when she arrives as the game's next Freelancer. While her Atlas Reactor character will look a bit different, there is no question that this sword-wielding Freelancer is Rift's Defiant heroine. By all reports, her AR fighting-style will be very similar to how she battles in Rift.
Trion Worlds has sent word that Atlas Reactor has been updated with a new chapter featuring Brynn the Skywarden and the introduction of Season 2. In addition, Atlas Reactor is now completely free to play and Freelancers, mod tokens, skins and more can be purchased using Flux, the in-game currency earned for playing the game.

The Atlas Reactor Freelancer corps has grown a bit larger with the addition of Kaigin, the Warpstalker. A product of Project Nidus, Kaigin is blind but not slowed. He uses daggers and shuriken with uncanny accuracy. His game skills are indicative of his fast speed, deadly accuracy and the ability to hit enemies through walls.
Trion Worlds has announced that it has partnered with ESL to take Atlas Reactor into the wide world of eSports. Players will be able to register teams beginning this Saturday for the inaugural tournament. In addition, anyone wanting to try out Atlas Reactor can do so for free all weekend beginning Friday, November 11th.
The latest Atlas Reactor update has been deployed that bring a large number of improvements to the UI, Free Mode, the new player experience and overall game play. Trion Worlds has sent word that Atlas Reactor is now available on Steam. Players can purchase the game for $29.99 that includes all Freelancers all the time, or they can take part in the Free Mode that gives players a specific Freelancer rotation each week to level up and try out.
