  • Astellia First Look

Yesterday marked the first day of the Astellia closed beta #1. We were given access to the game for streaming, review videos, and anything you could want to see as you take the first look into a new title. This beta is running until July 1st and it gives us a good chance to break the system. There are two servers with absolutely everyone they can get into them for this purpose. Here is a breakdown of what we saw along with a video review to give you a little pre-show.

  • What Are You Waiting For?

It’s summer. You know what that means! It’s way too hot to go outside, and the perfect time to play games all day (at least, that’s what I tell myself). The problem? There’s just not a whole lot I find that I want to play. So, that begs the question – what are you waiting for? In the world of MMOs, specifically, I’m going to rattle off what’s on my “do want” list, and hope you’ll join in me in needlessly wishing for games that aren’t here yet.

  • Astellia Developer Diary: Meet the Mage and the Assassin

When Astellia launches later this summer, it will come packed with exciting, interesting classes that may seem familiar on the surface, but that come with their own unique “Astellia” touch. In our latest developer diary, we’re going to take a look at the Mage, a wily caster who can bring down a world of elemental pain, and the Assassin, a master of lethal deception.

  • Astellia Devs on 'Dungeoneering' & Its Unique Take on Dungeon Runs

When Astellia launches, it will come with a system called "dungeoneering", a unique twist on the typical MMO dungeon run. During dungeoneering experiences, players will be able to see loot tables before entering and each player will earn even more rewards based on individual / group performance. Finally, the dungeon will "score" performance. We checked in with the Astellia team to learn more about these unique mechanics. See what they had to say.

  • Astellia: Crafting a Brighter Future - Our Exclusive Developer Diary

To craft or not to craft: that is the question everyone asks when starting a new MMORPG. In Astellia we understand that while not all players enjoy crafting content, all can benefit from crafting. What we mean by this is whether you are collecting resources from the field, earning high-end components from dungeons, or buying the finished products off the auction house, crafting has a role in every player experience throughout Astellia.

  • Astellia Online – Falling Our Way

Astellia Online is another MMO headed our way from the Asian market, but will it remain an awe-inspiring heavenly body like Halley’s comet or explode on (near) impact like the Tunguska object? Red attends a launch party and endures all forms of hardships to find out for his readers.

  • The List: The Most Anticipated MMOs of 2019

Another year, another list of the games we hope don’t suck in 2019. MMOs have been waiting what seems forever to get something new, and this year there is no shortage of upcoming games to look forward to. The question is - will any of them actually release in 2019, or will it be another year of waiting for the next big thing?
