Changes and New Purchase Option - MMORPG.com

The Live Producer of AC2, "Citan" posted a long and extensive list of upcoming changes to Asheron's Call 2 on the official forums.  Here is an excerpt:

  • Changes to the Map UI: The detail-map now scrolls smoothly. When the "Center on Player" option is checked, the map will scroll to keep the player's dot perfectly centered on the map, regardless of where they move. When "Center on Player" is not checked, the four arrows along the outside of the map can be pressed and held down to scroll smoothly in any direction. If they shift key is held down, the map will scroll slower.
  • Fellowship Mini Panel now shows your current selection: The fellowship mini-panel would previously show the leader of the fellowship in green. This has been changed to instead show your currently selected fellow in green.
  • Players getting stuck in walk mode permanently bugfix: Fixed a bug which involved pressing shift+enter at the same time. This lets you type in the chat field, same as pressing enter by itself. After the user finished typing, they would be stuck in "walk" mode until they pressed their shift keys again.

Turbine has also announced that they have made arrangements with FilePlanet to offer a downloadable version of AC2 for $15.95 (includes client and first 30 days) on March 3, 2004.   You can view this post at the official site.
