Story Driven 'Seasons' Announced as Part of Changing Development Cadence - Armored Warfare - MMORPG.com

My.com has introduced an overhauled development cadence called "Seasons" for Armored Warfare. Each 'season' is a story-driven content expansion that is deployed over the course of several months via "chapters". Chapters are interconnected and each plays a part in the overall story for the current Season and bring the story to a close prior to the start of a new season.

The co-operative PvE maps for this game mode have been designed after real world locations and conflicts to give more complexity and depth for an even more engaging tank battles. A season and its chapters will bring new vehicles, new PvP maps as well as thematic decals, rewards, avatars.

The first Season is called "Black Sea Incursion" and follows the adventures of Magnus, a former military corporation mercenary who is out for revenge on those who betrayed him. Black Sea Incursion will be released later this spring for PC with the PlayStation 4 version preparing for release at a later time. However, PS4 players will be introduced to Magnus through Special Operations Missions starting in May.

Black Sea Incursion will also feature the Israeli main battle tank progression line, a new world map and a redesign of the Garage view, contract missions, battalion competitive mode, armor inspector and reworked maps alongside new ones.
