Launch Trailer Preps Fans for August 29th

With the imminent release of ARK: Survival Evolved, Studio Wildcard has sent out the game's official launch trailer. Sure, you'll see dinosaurs and players and lots of vegetation but nothing will prepare you for the CUTENESS of prehistoric otters (with a bang)! <3


Retail Release Pushed Back to August 29th

Studio Wildcard has announced that the ARK: Survival Evolved retail release date has been pushed back to August 29th, three weeks later than the original August 8th release. The delay came at the hands of Gold Master certification taking longer than anticipated.


No Server Wipe Ahead of August 8th Launch

When ARK: Survival Evolved launches on August 8th, current official servers will not be wiped, but will be rebranded as "Legacy" servers. For players looking for an all new ground-up experience, new PvP Server Cluster network will be launched that will run separately from the PvP Legacy Server Cluster. At launch, new server code and infrastructure will be rolling out to address a number of critical issues on new and legacy servers over time.


Multiplatform Release Announced for August 8th

Studio Wildcard has announced that ARK: Survival Evolved will officially launch across three platforms on August 8th. In addition, pre-order information has been released regarding a physical Collector's Edition sold via GameStop for $159.99. It comes with the game, Season Pass, a leather-bound Explorer's Notebook, an ARK necklace and cloth map, a development team poster and a special wooden box to house it all.


Hyaenodon, Megatherium, Megalania, Hesperornis, Yutyrannus, and More!

If you can easily pronounce all of those, you're "DINO"mite! ARK: Survival Evolved has been updated with the latest patch that brings a number of new dinos into the game among other things. With this update, ARK now features 100 creatures have been added to the base game, not including bosses, events, or specialized variants!


Active Volcano Remodeling to Bury Bases in Lava if Not Moved

The ARK: Survival Evolved site has been updated with a notice that the next PC update will be delayed until May 3rd. The reason for delay is the "active remodeling" of a volcano will result in several meters in its vicinity being buried under an ocean of lava. The advanced notice is to give players a chance to move out of the "green zone" prior to the patch's deployment.


Patch 255 Lands for Playstation 4 Owners

The PlayStation 4 version of ARK: Survival Evolved has been updated to patch 255, the Tek update, bringing it in line with both PC and XBox One versions. This update brings four new dinosaurs into the game as well as the Tek Forcefield, tileset and doors.


Sponsored Mods Program Unveiled at GDC

During this week's Game Developers Conference, Studio Wildcard announced a new initiative aimed at providing financial support for the ARK: Survival Evolved modding community. Each month, fifteen projects will be selected to receive a $4,000 stipend to offset the development costs. Modding teams will also receive support from Studio Wildcard's developers and finished mods have a chance for inclusion in the main game.


TEK Centered Update Brings Fortifications & New Critters

The latest ARK: Survival Evolved update brought a number of defensive TEK components into the game. These are designed to provide protection from players with TEK-specc'd dinos who have been wreaking havoc since the new more futuristic system was released earlier this year. Players can enhance buildings with TEK forcefields that can be adjusted to fit the particular structural organization of a home or enclave. It provides resistance to attack and keeps out non-home members as well.


Tek Tier Update Deployed for Consoles

ARK: Survival Evolved has been updated for both PlayStation 4 and XBox One to bring the TEK Tier content on board. The patch brings new futuristic weapons, gear and the magic of flight into the dinosaur-themed game.


Enter the Realms of Sci-Fi with Tek Tier Update

ARK: Survival Evolved has always been known as the "prehistoric dinosaur-themed survival game". While that is still true, a new dimension has been added with the Tek Update that brings science fiction to the land of dinosaurs. Players will be able to craft futuristic gear and weaponry including powered armor suits, dinosaur-mounted cannons, plasma rifles and much more.


Latest Console Update Adds New Underwater Locations & Dinos!

ARK: Survival Evolved has updated both the PlayStation 4 and XBox One versions of the game to bring them in line with the PC version. v253 brings underwater locations and caverns into the game as well as more than a few new dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures.

PlayStation 4 Version to Release on December 6th

WildCard Studios has finally announced the imminent arrival of ARK: Survival Evolved for PlayStation 4. PS4 console gamers can look forward to getting started in the dino-infested game world on December 4th. The ARK: 6Survivors Pack is available for $55 and includes both the base game and the Scorched Earth expansion as well as PS4 exclusives, the Bionic Gigantosaurus skin and a Manticore armor set.
