Merv “Khrolan” Lee Kwai has penned the latest Letter from the Producer on the ArcheAge site. In it, he quickly runs down the game's most significant updates and improvements over the past month and then gives players a look ahead at the future.
Among several key fixes and enhancements to existing systems that will be dealt with between now and the end of May, Kwai announced that the v2.9 Ascension update will be released on May 31st.
Ascension will include:
- Lords of Aurorian Castles will be able to create, maintain and update castles
- The Nation System will be put in place. Lords can create independent, player controlled faction nations that are in opposition to the existing NPC factions
- another round of skill balance changes
- Tier 7 for Obsidian weapons and armor
- equipment encyclopedia to more easily evaluate gear
- new housing placeables
- new world and Mistsong Summit boss
- much more
