ArcheAge Articles

A short post on the ArcheAge forum has admitted that there is an "exploit bug" that is being investigated by the team. In the meantime, Apex has been disabled in the game. Trion has been roundly criticized lately for the continuing issues surrounding Apex and the appearance of a duplication bug that has been an ongoing issue since beta.

Trion's CEO Scott Hartsman has issued an official response to the allegation that there is a duplication bug for APEX currency. APEX is purchased with real world dollars and, when opened, yields in-game credits. Players have alleged that this is an issue that has been in the game since alpha.

Good news this week if you're the type who just can't be bothered to stop playing ArcheAge to do things like shop or stand in line at the bank. GAMEVIL is partnering with XL Games to bring you a mobile version of the MMO.

Trion Worlds dropped the ball this week. A triple-whammy of bad decisions has managed to push players away from the game just in time for the holidays. Let’s take a look at what went wrong.

The latest producer's letter has been published on the ArcheAge site. The discussion centers around this week's release of the Auroria zone and the difficulties players had accessing the game due to a nasty disconnect bug. In the future, the team has started making plans for smoother content releases.

After a hundred hours, lots of olives harvested, lives taken, hearings attended, fish captured, and donkeys ridden we’re ready to put ArcheAge to the test. Do XLGAMES and Trion Worlds have a winner on their hands? Read on for our full review.

The hectic, war-torn northern continent of Auroria will be open for invasion in November. Let’s review what the “Land of Origin” has in store for new players and their guilds.

Trion has launched the warning that those ArcheAge players who have purchased gold via gold sellers may see the currency removed from their wallets as part of the company's efforts to clean up the 'dark side' of the game.

Need more ArcheAge? You're in luck then, as Trion has announced that a new continent, Auroria, will be opening on November 4th. Auroria will give players new opportunities for exploration, new housing opportunities, new dungeons and more.

When Trion Worlds launched ArcheAge last month, was the company fully aware of the quantity and quality of client modifications and third-party tools available for the title?

There have been several reports of legitimate players being banned from Trion's ArcheAge here in the NA and EU in an effort for the company to curtail botting and illegal activities in the game. We reached out to comment from Trion's CEO on the matter, and this is what he wrote back.

As you might recall last week, I obtained my first real seafaring ship: the clipper. One of ArcheAge’s biggest selling points, at least in my eyes, is the crafting and trade game. There are two ways to go about it too: the safe way where you don’t have to worry about danger (but get less reward), or the dangerous way where you have to go into enemy territory (but the payoff is significantly larger). This past week, I learned the difference between the two the hard way.

For the past couple of weeks, players have been reporting very suspicious activity on expired housing plots in ArcheAge. For those unfamiliar, the first person to claim a spot when it opens up because of tax-payment failure, gets the land. Claimable land is at a premium, and therefore, it's very hotly contested.

ArcheAge is starting to become as addicting as Farmville. Only in this case, I don’t really hate myself for liking the game. I’ve just spent inordinate amounts of time roving the countryside, exploring crafting, and dabbling in a whole bunch of other things. The question I ask myself though is: am I focused on ArcheAge’s crafting and farming because they’re fun, or is it because the questing and combat progression is so old hat?

No MMO launch is flawless. ArcheAge’s launch in Europe and North America has had its fair share of issues this past week. Let’s take a look at a few of them and discuss what Trion Worlds can do to give players a better experience.
