ArcheAge 2.0 is on its way. Called "Heroes Awaken", the update will feature the Hero System that will allow players to become faction leaders who can enable faction-wide quests and lead the team to war.

The time has come for ArcheAge to consolidate its playerbase on high-population servers. To that end, players are being given a pair of choices on how their characters (if affected) can accomplish this.

From today through Monday, August 10th, ArcheAge players will be able to take advantage of a new crafting station on Mirage Isle. Players will be able to create an Unidentified Grimoire with the best part being that it costs no labor to make. Several hour-long buffs can be attained once it is identified.

The ArcheAge forum has a new post by community manager "Celestrata" that indicates that the team is actively working to reduce RNG and to increase the drop rates for Archeum. RNG will never leave the game as it is an integral part of what ArcheAge is, according to Celestrata.

Trion Worlds has announced a special weekend event called "Bounty of Knowledge". From Friday, July 17th through Monday, July 20th, players will get double experience for all monster kills, crafting and gathering that already provides in-game experience. According to the post, it's a great time to hit level cap or begin a new toon.

ArcheAge Producer Merv Lee Kwai has posted a lengthy note on the game site to give players a bit of a heads up about what is coming in both the immediate and more distant futures. Firstly, however, he reviews all that has happened with ArcheAge since 2015 began and it's a pretty impressive list, with a major nod going out to players for being agents of change in the game.

ArcheAge has been updated with a new patch called the Devouring Depths. The new content includes the massive Leviathan and a new daily event to attack the Leviathan with a giant crossbow. The event runs through July 7th and rewards players with 2 Leviathan's Legendary items. Additionally, Patrons can earn an additional three Loyalty Tokens everyday while logged in, earned hourly.

The Trion team spent the last couple of weeks visiting XLGames in Korea to discuss the way that player characters are transferred from one server to another. At the moment, it is a manual process but the team is working to release an automated option in the near future.

ArcheAge is teasing players with the news of the Rumrunner's Rapids event that will be ongoing this summer. During the event, players will be able to face off against one another in raft races to earn tokens to trade in for summer-themed items and prizes.

The ArcheAge site has been updated with a look at the winners from the recent Omen of Dread Prophecies screenshot contest. No one is more excited for tomorrow’s update than ArcheAge’s Merv Lee Kwai. Called “Dread Prophecies”, the update is the largest yet for the game since it launched. There’s a huge feature list for Dread Prophecies and what makes it especially cool is that it affects all phases of life for players. There is literally something for everybody.

Trion has published a new, comprehensive look at the upcoming ship customization feature headed into ArcheAge when the Dream Prophecies update goes live in the near future. A post on the ArcheAge forums continues, or hopefully ends, the controversy created last week with a gift sent out to former players. "Return to ArcheAge" packages included several RNG boxes, potions and Library access scrolls. However, several random boxes also included the $100 "Secrets Pack" and the Cynafin Dolphin which gave its name to the issue now known as "Dolphingate". Players loudly decried the move. Trion has subsequently admitted the error in judgment and is making good with players.
