Seraphina "Celestrata" Brennan, senior community manager at Trion, has written a new post on the ArcheAge site to announced the commencement of a new periodic letter to detail the happenings in the AA community. She begins the letter discussing where the community is right now and debunks the notion that the AA community is 'toxic', but is rather "creative, passionate, intelligent, and bold."

This weekend marks the return of the ArcheAge event called 'From Distant Shores' that tasks players to take to the high seas between Nuia and Haranya to return trade packs containing Charcoal, Rock Salt, Crystal, or Dragon Essence Stabilizers in order to receive 20 Merit Badges for participating.

ArcheAge: Ascension will be arriving soon and with it comes a slew of castle upgrades. Guilds will be able to construct new buildings around the Archeum Lodestone that can even unlock elite quests. Construction of new buildings will require a special currency that comes in three types: Territokens, Lord's Pence and Lord's Coin.

The ArcheAge team is giving players a heads up that inactive names will be released on May 10th. Anyone who has characters under level 40 and have not logged in since early October will have the names released.

Merv "Khrolan" Lee Kwai has penned the latest Letter from the Producer on the ArcheAge site. In it, he quickly runs down the game's most significant updates and improvements over the past month and then gives players a look ahead at the future.

The ArcheAge site has been updated with an important notice to players that auction house mergers are incoming. Prior to the merger process, players will not have the ability to post new auctions for approximately two days (49 hours, but who's counting?). Once the time has passed, all existing auctions will have expired and the merger process can begin.

Trion is inviting all current and former ArcheAge players to log in this weekend between now and Tuesday, March 29th. As a reward for doing so, players will score five free days of Patron status that unlocks a number of perks including a larger labor capacity, faster labor regeneration, access to the auction house or arena from anywhere in the world, and up to five Loyalty Tokens per day.

ArcheAge players are going to feel a bit richer with a free gift of three Reward coins thanks to Trion Worlds. In thanks for avoiding any interaction with the disciplinary system, those players with characters made prior to January 15, 2016 and who have logged in at least once in the last thirty days, this reward will be made available via the ArcheAge account management page in Glyph.

The ArcheAge site has good news for most players, bad news for those who choose to use third-party bots and hacks. A new program has been put into place that has significantly improved the team's ability to detect the use of bots and to subsequently put into play new enforcement rules.

The ArcheAge team has a pair of cool notes for players. The first comes in the announcement that paid character transfers will be opening again on "leap day", February 29th. For about 2700 Credits, players can purchase a Character Transfer from the Glyph Store. Be sure to head to the ArcheAge site to read the fine print and preparations for leaping to a new server.

From now through March 8th, ArcheAge players can take on some extra daily quests outside Mistsong Summit that offer the chance to take down Dochul, Sojung and Aria on either Easy or Normal modes. Each successful completion yields Daru's Gift Box that can offer a number of rewards.

Trion Worlds has made a post on the official ArcheAge forums regarding a server first kill of Leviathan boss by the guild called "Rage Quit". According to reports of other players and the summary by forum moderators, the guild utilized an exploit to complete the kill. As a result of taking advantage of the exploit, all members participating in the event got permanently banned, the guild has been disbanded and all loot gained has been removed from the world.

ArcheAge NA is just about 100% caught up with its KR forebear, as today patch 2.5 launches on the Trion Worlds servers, bringing with it tons of new content. Not the least of which, the game’s hardest 5-man dungeon to date comes in the form of a deadly opera house with more than a few secrets and tough bosses to be conquered. The ArcheAge community team will be hosting a special live stream concert on Friday, January 22nd at 1:30 pm Pacific / 4:30 pm Eastern. The concert will feature the women who make up the band Invocation Array and the music of Mistsong Summit.

The Korean version of ArcheAge will be updating soon with a lot of attention paid to the PvP system and strengthening nation wars. Players will be able to upgrade structures within contested zones and have flying protectors circling towns within each nation. A new plant-themed dungeon will be included too. Lastly, general player housing has received a bit of love with new designs and locations for building.
