ESPN, Walmart Back Away From Violent Games After Mass Shootings

By Poorna Shankar on August 11, 2019 | News | 0

As reported by Kotaku, it looks like Walmart is removing “any signing or displays that contain violent images or aggressive behavior,” per internal memos in the wake of last week’s mass shootings.

While Kotaku reached out to Walmart for additional information, Walmart has yet to respond. Additionally, the Apex Legends tournament originally scheduled for this weekend was postponed by ESPN.

A source told Kotaku that the broadcast will instead air on ESPN2 on Sunday October 6 at 5pm ET, October 15 at 11p ET, and October 27 at 4p ET.
