The latest BioWare studio update has been published. Penned by Casey Hudson, the letter talks about how hard the team is working to get Anthem ready to ship on February 22nd and about Hudson's own time spent in game during a recent "Play From Home" session. He writes of the signature things he finds in Anthem that are expected for a BioWare title, but also speaks about superheroic gameplay that makes him want to come back just for the "feel" of it.
BioWare Lead Producer Mike Gamble and the Anthem team will be hosting a special live stream event on Thursday, November 29th to show off Fort Tarsis, the player's in-game base of operations, and the retooled Lost Arcanist mission that was shown earlier this year. The event will kick off in the Anthem Twitch channel at 1:00 pm Pacific / 4:00 pm Eastern.
Anthem Lead Producer Mark Darrah has taken to Twitter to remind folks that the game will be out in February 2019 "same as always". Darrah was responding to a Twitter user who asked if the game would be released in March. However, Reddit user "RuthenticCookie" has posted a rumor that Anthem may be delayed to launch with Sony's unannounced PlayStation 5 and that "Anthem is a mess on 'this-gen consoles'". RuthenticCookie is the same person who leaked that Sony would not be at E3 2019 a day early.
The Anthem team took part in a 45 minute live stream on November 15th to show off the deep customization options for player exosuits called Javelins. The stream provides a look at how the gear and weapons available to Javelins can be tailored to suit any play style and look at The Forge. There's even a special N7 easter egg.
On Thursday, November 15th, Anthem fans can check into a special developer live stream event starting at 1:00 pm Pacific / 4:00 pm Eastern in the Anthem Twitch channel. During the stream, devs will be showing off how players can use the Forge to customize their Javelin exosuit. The stream will last approximately half an hour, so be sure to check in at the appointed time!
During last week's Paris Games Week, the Anthem team was on hand to show off an entire mission from the currently ongoing alpha of the game. The mission features a mission called The Lost Anarchist and showcases the abilities of both the Storm and Interceptor Javelins. The video is long on spoilers since it's a complete mission including dialog. Consider yourself warned! Lastly, there are some technical issues at the start of the stream that are solved within the first few minutes.
BioWare's Mike Gamble and Ben Irving will be on hand on November 1st to stream some Anthem. Not much has been seen of the game since E3, so it will be a golden opportunity for fans to check out the latest build of the game. Of course, Gamble adds that there are likely to be some issues but that it's sure to feature "hijinks and hilarity".
The BioWare blog has been updated with a new post from Casey Hudson to announce that Anthem has officially entered its alpha phase of development. According to Hudson, "every part of the game is in, and functioning". He further says that it's fun to see people around the office and in partner studios grouping together for adventures. He likens it to the heady early days of BioWare during the development of Baldur's Gate.

Anthem Creative Director Brenon Holmes has taken to Reddit to try to explain why the game may not feature any text-based chat channels. The team is facing an FCC deadline to implement accessibility options in game that can include full text-to-speech options. As a result, Anthem will probably exclude even the most basic text chat channels including zone, clan or general.
We all know what a fickle company EA is when it comes to any non-sports game. Despite this, they have launched a lot of ideas especially through the BioWare brand. Known for top RPGs over decades, the question really is how much of the BioWare-of-old remains?
EA and BioWare have released the 20 minute gameplay demo for Anthem that was shown at E3 2018 in early June. The video features Lead Producer Ben Irving narrating the action that was shown during the E3 showcase. "Discover more about the transversal, combat, and teamwork on display as a team of four Freelancers complete the mission "Scars & Villainy".
