Announced via The Game Awards, Sephiroth from Final Fantays VII Is joining Cloud as part of the roster in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
The trailer showcased some of the moves that Sephiroth brings to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and the trailer didn't disappoint, bringing back the fury and conflict between two of Final Fantasy's most iconic characters. While the official release date of Sephiroth is not announced, we can expect to see him join the roster somtime this month.
Nintendo has a history of bringing characters from other properties over to their Brawler, with Mega Man, Cloud fro Final Fantasy, all the way to Joker from Persona 5. Sephiroth will be the 8th post-release character added to the multiplayer brawler since the game launched in 2018.
