Getting Shady on the Black Market - The Team Explains How

The Albion Online development team has sent out a new trailer laying out some of the details about the upcoming Black Market addition to the game. It is one of the more unique aspects of the next patch, and one that is sure to please crafters and looters alike.

The Black Market Vendor is ready to lay out cold, hard cash to anyone willing to sell him their wares. Once done, he sends them out to monsters, factions and loot chest throughout the game world.

Players killing a monster will get a "buy order" drop for an item. Once a pre-determined number of "buy orders" are active in the world, the Vendor will raise the price of the item.

The Black Market trader has somewhat scrupulous values. Being a shady individual to begin with, he tends to lose some items after purchasing and his slippery fingers will even pocket a certain amount of lower tiered items for himself, thus removing them from the game! This ensures a constant demand for lower tier items, preventing them from becoming worthless in the long run.

Crafters can also sell their items directly to the Vendor. Once an asking price has been reached, the Vendor will automatically purchase the item(s).

You can learn more in the video below or by visiting the Albion Online site.
