I don't remember much about the Albion Online booths exterior. I can't. It's all drowned out in a shared memory with the team from Sandbox Interactive GmbH. Someone is playing a trailer of some description. We're trying to talk about a medieval sandbox MMO. All we can hear is someone insisting voiciferously that we should "Come to mama!"

As anyone who has played online games for any length of time will know, the territory comes with its ups and downs. One common issue, especially with resource-based open-world games that allow for PvP, is when players form into large groups and trample their respective countrysides (or space stations), obliterating everything in their path. Whether you know it as 'blobbing,' 'zerging' or by some other name, you're sure to have run into it in one form or another.
The Albion Online team has sent word (and a new trailer!) to announced that the summer alpha testing program will open on June 29th. The new phase will include several key improvements based on the last alpha event, including the recently revealed Hellgate events.
The latest Albion Online video developer diary has been published to give players new information about Hellgates. Players in the game work together to bring down gatekeepers which, on death, can spawn a hellgate that leads to a special 5-player dungeon. The twist? A second hellgate that leads to the same dungeon may spawn elsewhere in the world with a second group of players in the same dungeon leading to PvE / PvP mayhem.

Former CCP EVE developer Matt Woodward has joined the team working on the forthcoming Albion Online. Once known as CCP Greyscale, Woodward sat down on camera to talk about his hope to make Albion the best sandbox experience it can be.
The Albion Online team has published an extensive list of planned fixes and enhancements on the game's official forums. Considered a working list on the way to summer 2015, the team promises to get as many of the changes and features as possible in the next alpha update.
