Karav writes: This was my first MMORPG. I joined around version 1.5, and have been playing it intermittently ever since. Aion has been out for a long time and still manages to be one of the best MMORPGs on the market--free or otherwise. Inflation has gone up significantly over the years, but the leveling experience has greatly improved. It used to take a minimum of three hours of focused grinding and questing to hit level 15, now you can do it in maybe an hour of campaign quests. The role playing community is strong thanks to speech bubbles and automatic emotes. If you type "lol", "/laugh" or "ha", at any time, your character will do their laugh emote. Saying things like "yay" triggers a victory emote/animation. Skinning armor is encouraged. Keep in mind that ALL COMBAT IS RNG. Many skills are "chains" if a skill in the chain misses, the rest in the chain can't be used. It makes pvpve somewhat simpler, especially when you have all your quickbars filled with skills, potions, macros, and armor sets. Try multiple classes. There are eleven, and everyone gets eight character slots per account. Definitely worth checking out at least once. Mon Jul 27 2015 12:58PM
