As promised, patch notes for Aion's upcoming 1.9 update are now available, albeit translated from Korean. Looking ahead, some details and video on Aion v.2.0 were revealed at a recent NCSoft press conference.

Highlights from patch 1.9 include:

15 new skills

Reduced travel, soul binding and soul healing costs

Increased experience and drop rates (including instance bosses, Noschana Training Camp General, I'm lookin' at you!)

Improved mission rewards

Daily Quests

Improvements to Dredgion

A new Looking for Group (LFG) system

A two handed weapon combination system

A weapon rental shop

New stats including: Heal amount increase, Magic Crit, Magic and Physical Crit Defense, and Magic and Physical Crit Resistance.

Numerous balance changes, ex. Spiritmaster pets, Ranger traps, and other summoned entities now inherit item and manastone bonuses from their owners.

And tons more!

Read the full patch notes here. The patch notes are translated from the Korean PTS release of 1.9, there is currently no date set for 1.9's Western release.

As for Aion v. 2.0, new zones will be introduced, and we know that the level cap will be increased to Level 55, as additional Level 55 wings have been revealed. Also, a new Airflow flight system will be added, allowing players to zip through paths of airflow, gaining huge bursts of speed.

You can view the new Airflow System, as well as other assorted stills and clips from Aion v.2.0 here.
