Silirrion: PowerPoints Shelved

Silirrion: PowerPoints Shelved - Age of Conan: Unchained -

Last summer Funcom announced a PowerPoints system for Age of Conan when the game was still under Gaute Godager.

Since then, players have been left wondering about this system and so Mr. Godager's successor, Craig Morrison, has chimed in on the subject:

As mentioned above the 'power-points' system was shelved last year. There will be some form of veterans system in the near future, but it won't strictly take the shape described in the original launch articles released last summer.

You are right though about the site, I'll see if I can poke the community folk about getting it removed (or a disclaimer added that states the feature has been dropped).

There will be a veterans reward system coming up in the near future.

Since this post was made, the PowerPoints announcement on the Age of Conan official community site has been replaced with a disclaimer that reads:

Introducing Powerpoints

DISCLAIMER (July 2009)

The development of the Powerpoint System was stopped in favour of another approach to reward veterans. The details about this Veteran Reward System will be announced in the near future.

Mr. Morrison's post on the subject can be found here.
