Age of Conan: Exclusive Video
Trailer shows off the Tortage Temple

Funcom - the developers behind Anarchy Online and Age of Conan - have provided with an exclusive video trailer of their upcoming Conan-based MMORPG. The video shows off a unique area of their world: Tortage Temple. You can click the banner below to download the file.

Jørgen Tharaldsen also provided us with a description of what is being shown, which you can read below.

The exclusive video footage you are about to see are taken from an Acheron ruins complex on the island of Tortage. This island is the area where players find themselves at the start of Age of Conan - Hyborian Adventure, the forthcoming Online Action RPG from Funcom. The island has a great variety of locations, and some of the ingredients are an active volcano that towers over the island, deep lush forest paths, beautiful beaches, dense jungle, mystical ruins and challenging monster areas. Your journey will eventually lead you to the bustling pirate city of Tortage, where wild adventures and rough bar brawling fights awaits.

This video find us in one of those jungle sections on the island, and what you see are some ancient, hidden ruins from the Acheron age. The wild Picts who roam the jungles have made camps and settlements amongst the ruins, but they are unaware of the power and majesty of the civilisation that once lived there. You won't see Picts in this video though, but you should get a good glimpse into the fantastic graphics and art direction you will eventually be able to experience in the game.

I would like to point out that this is definitively a work in progress video (as you can see we clearly point that out;). Everything is captured in real-time though, but remember that it will look even better once we get closer to release. I can also assure you those temple areas will hold some very interesting and brutal gameplay challenges, and not just pretty scenery ;)
