Artix Entertainment has a new post on the official Adventure Quest 3D site that's pretty exciting! Open beta for the upcoming KickStarter-backed title will begin in October. The open beta follows the company's tradition of releasing other Adventure Quest titles (AdventureQuest and AdventureQuest Worlds) in October in years gone by.
Artix Entertainment has announced that the pre-beta of Adventure Quest 3D has officially ended and that servers have been taken down to upgrade the game client to the official closed beta version. As the downtime goes on, a "play-by-play" event will be taking place on the official site in which players will be informed about the upgrade progress.

Due to player feedback, Artix Entertainment has announced that the start of the Adventure Quest 3D closed beta will be delayed slightly to July 26th. During the closed beta, players will be able to take part in 11 new dungeons with several new features as well. Artix is hoping that this will be "the shortest closed beta ever" and anticipates that open beta will begin from 1 to 7 days later.
The Adventure Quest 3D site has been updated with the news that the biggest update in the game's history has been deployed in the alpha version on Steam. Players can look forward to lots of new content, including a new dungeon called The Umbral Caves, new monsters, new NPCs, new quests, the first pass on crafting, treasure chests, the Shadow Wolf travel form and an expanded story line.
Artix Entertainment has sent out a brand new trailer for AdventureQuest 3D that introduces fans to the Guardian character. The trailer was originally shown at MegaCon last week and has now been released publicly. Check it out and let us know what you think!
