A new developer has been named for A Tale in the Desert. Pluribus Games has taken over the management of ATITD and a "new journey" will begin on September 11th, 2015. Tale VII is expected to last for approximately 18 months and will begin in ancient Egypt.

A Tale in the Desert V has officially launched. ATitD IV is now closed and the era of Pharaoh Sami has begun. With Sami's election as pharaoh, new player-invented technologies will be the highlight. New technologies include Foraging, Aquaculture and Molecular Balance. Players will also have an ultra-sophisticated new fishing simulation.

A Tale in the Desert, an MMO by eGenesis that eschews the typical combat focus of MMOG's for a more social, economic and even legal theme, will be getting a new server on February 20th that further enhances players' ability to control the game world. A Tale in the Desert is set in Egypt, and the new server will allow for players to essentially build the world from scratch.
