Controversy has been swirling around World of Warcraft official forums about the random drop chance of legendaries in Legion. On the EU forum Community Manager Aerythlea took some time to clarify the "bad luck protection" that the development team has embedded into the game.
The gist of the conversation is that obtaining the legendary is not dependant on the amount of time spent in WoW but more tied to what was called "legendary eligible" content. The more Emissary quests, dungeons, raids, PvP, etc. that a player participates in, the greater the chance of a legendary drop.
