Over the long Thanksgiving weekend, one of the World of Warcraft daily reputation or "emissary" quests popped up for the Kirin Tor. This group is a faction that has come up rarely since Legion's launch but is one of the required exalted faction prerequisites for flying set to be introduced in a later update. While four quests are required to complete an emissary quest, only two Kirin Tor quests came up throughout the weekend (one a brand new quest and came up twice), one of which was broken.
Late yesterday, Blizzard addressed the issue by applying a hotfix to the game that allows all players to complete the Kirin Tor emissary quest regardless if or how many of the quests they (frustratingly) were able to complete over the weekend.
We've just wrapped up testing the hotfix on our internal realms and so far so good.
Everyone gets a complete Kirin Tor Emissary quest on login. If you are already logged in, please relog to get your credit.
This change won't be reflected in the UI until at least two world quests are completed and even then, there may be some inconsistencies. Fixing the UI is going to require a new build at some point but we thought it would be more important to get everyone their rewards! Hotfix should be applied to Live servers in a minute or two.
So if you haven't already, check into World of Warcraft and head to the Kirin Tor emissary found in Dalaran to claim your free chest.
May the legendaries favor you today!
