The latest Wind of Luck update has been deployed that most notably brings in eighteen hireable specialists that can make a captain's ship more dangerous on the high seas. Harpoon cannons have also been added.
You will be able to hire Specialists in the Tavern on Shipyard. After the Specialist is hired, he will be available in the list to be accepted on the ship. Different ships can hold different number of specialist, up to three. As a general rule of thumb, Tier 1-3 ships can hold 1 Specialist only, for Tiers 4-5 there are 2 Specialist slots, and Tiers 6-9 can take 3 Specialists. Note, that it’s not possible to have two specialists with same trade on the ship (i.e. you can’t have 2 Gunners, or a Gunner and a Seasoned Gunner on a ship at the same time).
