The Wild West Online Facebook page has been updated with a list of things that are changing as the team preps to welcome players back into the game for alpha weekend #2. Many of the changes came directly as a result of community feedback after last weekend's inaugural event.
Some of the key updates include:
- missions added
- rearranged map with discovery quests
- bug fixes and quality of life updates
- over 50 causes for crashing fixed - server side and client side
- terrain and rendering bugs
- performance improvements
- automatic health regeneration has been removed
- first pass of alterations to item prices, stats, damage
- horse despawn time increased
- headshot multiplier decreased
- the ability to add map points
- equip items from inventory
Over time, the WWO team will be working to replace animations, adding new sounds to replace the current ones, NPC missions and quests, a public event called "Raid on Gold Canyon", more exploration-based game play for better XP / rewards and the Sheriff vs Bandit game play.
