Release Slips to 2016, Beta Still on for 2015

inXile has announced that the release date for Torment: Tides of Numenera has slipped to 2016 but that beta testing is still on track for 2015. In addition, Chris Keenan is taking over as the lead designer on the project.


To Alpha Testing & Beyond!

So much for channeling the inner Buzz Lightyear, but the fact remains that inXile's latest update includes the happy news that Torment: Tides of Numenera is ready to give the alpha systems some work. Those backers with alpha systems access in their tier rewards will be able to get a look at small chunks of the early story, not only to test the systems, but to get an idea of where the overall project is headed developmentally.


Devs to Talk Torment in Twitch Event Today

Fans of Torment: Tides of Numenera will want to head to the studio's Twitch channel at 4:00 pm Pacific / 7:00 pm Eastern for a special two hour event with Lead Area Designer George Ziets, Lead Animator Josh Jertberg and our Crisis Design Lead Jeremy Kopman.


A World Unlike Any Other

inXile Entertainment has released a brand new video to show off some of the locations to be found in Torment: Tides of Numenera. The caveat is that these are not final images but they give viewers a great look at what they can expect from the highly anticipated RPG.


Pre-Alpha Game Play Video Released

inXile Entertainment has released a new video that shows off some pre-alpha game play footage from its upcoming RPG, Torment: Tides of Numenera, a 'spiritual successor' the wildly popular PlaneScape: Torment. Featuring dark tunes and a large amount of dialog, the game is decidedly old school and a welcomed sight for players who have long held PS:T as the best RPG of all time.


Release Slips to Q4 2015

The latest newsletter from inXile Entertainment has arrived in our mailbox with the news that Torment: Tides of Numenera will be not be arriving until sometime during Quarter 4 2015, a year later than originally planned. In the meantime, Wasteland 2 will hit its official release date in August 2014.
