The folks over at The Chronicles of Spellborn have posted a new developer journal on their official site. The journal focuses on the evolution of the Trial Caves.
Hi there!
Stay a while and listen.. oh wait! That's a different game! But seriously, what I want to do first is welcome you to this first Lore and Story journal that will hopefully tell you a little bit about the decisions that were made during the making of The Chronicles of Spellborn.
For this first Lore journal, I have been asked to tell you all a bit about the evolution of what was once known as The Trial Caves!
But where to start on something that has his roots so deeply tucked in Spellborn history and then not be a total bore? I guess we start at the beginning! The early ideas of the Trial Caves originate from so long ago that I can't even remember where the notion sprouted from. Over the course of production we changed their location, their background story and even the reason for their existence gameplay wise so many times that it all became a blur.
