Holograms and comms are going to be a big part of Star Citizen, something that Sandi Gardiner and Chris Roberts spend time speaking about. In addition, Roberts reviews what the team is working on with regard to 3.0.
The greater proportion of update 3.0 is complete and the team is hard at work to get it done. The final phase of the development of 3.0 is in process. That means things are being addressed such as optimization, feature / content integration, and bug fixing.
Delta Patcher will soon be incoming that will require players to only update files that have changed rather than 30Gb downloads of the entire client.
