Slightly Mad Studios has lifted the cover off its action-racing MMO, World of Speed. The team has released a new video to show off the game in action and shows off racing locations from Moscow to London and more. According to press information, the game will allow interconnected players to "team up and compete in an ever-expanding number of gameplay modes where completing team-based objectives determines the victor." 1. I like the idea of the game, about time a larger multi-player racer came out.

2. It is not an MMO.

If they had made it a persistent world where you just go and drive and could come across players all over the place, that would have made the idea 10x greater. Like being able to drive from Paris to Moscow, with random "races" throw in.

Driving in a video game with in game physics and sliding is more challenging than in real life.

Im not sure I would enjoy having to memorize every track since it really requires perfection in a driving video game when driving with pros.

The different game modes sounds interesting, and maybe they can offer a lot that rewards players of different skill levels.

I personally would like to see player created tracks, and engine modifications and teaching players at the same time about cars.
