ScamZ deserves everything its getting, ripoff game made by ripoff dev team.
Rent a friend - why not, I see nothing wrong with that service, except the name is really off. Its "pay for help" has nothing to do with friendship. This has been around forever as power leveling services.
Rent a Friend !!!!
What a joke. That has to be the most lame money grab I have ever heard of. If a person cant find someone to play with in a MMO they need to go to single player games.
With crap like this it is a shame the world did not end.
How do i subsribe to be a friend???
always wanted to play for free MMORPGs and get paid for doing that.....
The whole War Z thing....
He didnt name the game till after the bidding war between DiCaprios and Pitts production companies started over the WW-Z book . Its my personal belief that Sergey was intending to ride on the coat-tails of both the Brad Pitt moive and DayZs success with his naming choice.
Now on to the Rent a Friend, or Lacky, or what-ever. I think its a great idea. And its been done in MMOs already.
And no Im not talking power leveling or any of the other ToS breaking "services".
This is no more than what I used to see in WoW especially (when I use to play).
Anyone remember Priests and Warriors in WoW "advertising" in Trade chat, "50g each and you can group with me for an insta pop on your choice of daily dungeon." And as soon as it pops he leaves group, and starts advertising all over again. I started leveling a healer Preist just for the amount of gold people were raking in.
"Lvl 80 Mage running people thru Scarlet Monastary Cathedral, 10 gold each person, each run. I pass on all loot." <-- I did this. Hell it was easy gold.
EVE even does this. They just made it part of the game mechanics, its called "Transport Contracts". People were offering it even before CCP made it a part of the game. Why make a friend, just rent one with isk.
And how many times have I seen someone post on this website, "Looking for someone to game with?" I bet its even more common on the games' forums.
What this guy is offering is no different. Except you pay with real cash instead of in-game currency.
And it doesnt break any EULA's or ToS's.
Its a great idea, and I hope he makes lots of money, along with the people working for him.
