A Dark Elf gets a little friendly/obsessed with Bill's "little sword" in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. -- Recorded live on Twitch.tv for MMORPG.com - http://j-tv.me/x81AZ3
My only concern is.... is Amular a single-player MMO? I didn't see any other players just Bill interacting with an NPC voiceover.... I want my 3 minutes back!
I've heard lots of good stuff about the game and have started playing it today. After horrible combat of swtor, this is such a joy! Especially if you play it with an xbox controller on a big screen :)
Does anybody have any actual facts about this becoming an mmorpg one day? And if it will, when and how different will it be from this single-player game? Because I will totally be buying it if the combat is anything like this baby and there will be an option to play with a controller!
Reckoning is in fact a pre-cursor to an MMO by 38 Studios, Codename "Copernicus". There is very little information on it other than it will be based off the Amalur world Salvatore created and under the same art direction. About a year ago (as close as I can recall) Kurt Schilling made the statement as only he would that Amalur was at the "All-Star Break" and Copernicus had just entered "Spring Training". Schilling and 38 Studios is a great story and I'm pulling hard for their success.
I like the game alot so far, but there are also some things a bit off.
If you don't follow the main questline right through but do some stuff on your own off the beaten patch, you quickly outlevel the main story. I followed the traveller's questline and when i got back to my fate story, all the mobs were grey.
