MMORPG.com Videos - GDC Austin: Guild Panel

One of the best panels at Austin GDC this year was the Guild panel. Chris Mancil of Trion Networks moderated five of the top player guilds on stage and gave them an open forum to discuss MMOs. A number of guild leaders from some of the more prominent guilds all spoke about their likes and dislikes of MMO game play. Some games take a beating in this panel, but the pure thoughts of the player shine through.

Suraknar writes: I enjoyed this, I relate to some, I kinda considered dreaded enemies some others since UO. But Overall, I am surprised at how our thoughts and solutions to common problems are similar. being based out of Canada it has not been as easy for OSS to partake in all of the Dev Events and meetings etc over the years, but I do appreciate what I heard in this one. Cheers! Tue Nov 24 2009 7:12PM
AmbushMartyr writes: As "serious" as some of these guys may seem to some, they offer a lot of info on guilding, leading, and how games SHOULD be developed! I say thanks for letting these guys say their peace as it could be the new standard in which games will be developed in the future. Tue Nov 10 2009 3:43PM
