    • It's a sony game, even if it's decent when launched it will be total crap in 6 months to a year after.

    • I played DCUO at Comic-Con on Friday, and talked with the team. The animation wasn't any better with the Demo, and I did comment on it. The guy giving me the demo it is pre-alpha stage so things are far from polished state. I even sent Jim Lee and personal message regarding the fact that everyone was a bit concerned with the animation at the show. Im sure it will be much better by release. They have at least a year to work on it from my calculations.

    • It looks ok, didn't really see much. Graphics look good except for the characters. I think Champions looks better and I hope SOE can do a better job on this then Star Wars.

    • The graphics LOOK good, but those jerky animations and poor framerates have me concerned...like others have said already. I love hero games, but unless this doesn't need a supercomputer and allows me to stand side by side with the real heroes, I will stick with my support of Champions Online. Sorry Sony and DC...

    • Not much of a Superhero game fan but i thought it looked pretty good. A bit choppy but that could be the video or the fact that it doesnt release in Forever. It is an SOE game though so it is easy to see why most people on this site throw poo on it. Im pretty sure everyone on here hates SOE so badly because they steal babies or something like that, it cant be because of a game the made.

    • All of the animations look so bad, I mean it looks like its from the 90's. I think it can be a good game if they can model and animate better, but I still think if they do that, it will fail in its first year

    • The character art looks ok up until the avatars start moving. From the looks of it they are aiming for the 7-14 year old demographic. The graphics don't seem too hardware intensive, you'd think they could smooth them out a little bit.

    • congratulations to the studio for making some of DC's heroes look cool for the first time ever. Shame the game appears in places to have a similar frame rate to a comic book though...

    • Dalevi11, I agree that DC is the weaker of the IP's but something is up with Marvel and their demands. SOE had a chance at the Marvel IP but passed. Now Microsoft has passed on the IP leaving Cryptic out dangling in the wind. I think DC is strong enough to hold its own.

    • Looks horrible. Honestly. They have already set the "bar" with 60 year old heroes and villains, levels they will never allow players to reach. And we all remember the last time they said "the greatest story ever told". Equate that to the "next legend". God, I hate SOE...

    • Just reading the posts, it seems everyone agrees that they need to tighten up the animation and reactions to hits. I'm sure this will be taken care of. I have to say I'm impressed though. What this video tells me is that you can walk in the steps of your favorite hero. I also checked out the IGN and Gamespot coverage. It looks like it could be good. I'm looking forward to a strong battle b/t CO,DC and whatever replaces COX.

    • The main thing is it will be different. CoH/CoV was getting boring. We need something new to play. If they get the character creation as well as CoH/CoV did then that is good. I am afraid they will not have enough for us to be different from everyone else and we will have too many DC look-a-likes running around in the game.

    • Its sad that this game will die, and probably slowly due to fanboys and vets and especially SOE. Hope this works but it prob wont and many peoples expectations will be screwed over, hurts me to say to Im a huge green lantern fan also I like a lot of DC stuff.

    • Ehhh... doesn't look too promising in this teaser. Still, imo it looks better than WARs current graphics (which is basically what these teasers are meant to show). I'm probably going to go with CO. I love having a unique character, I love the art style they're going for, and I love(d) CoX. Looks like a push backwards with what they've shown in this.

    • Wow that looks terrible. Combat looks like ass. Champions is going to be much better then this. Plus SOE is a company in the buisness of lying to and ripping off players. This game looks like 10 year olds might love it.

    • Looks cool. I've read all comments and I agree that SOE usually spoils it's games, BUT I agree with Dracain: we need to try it before judging, or at least see a decent gameplay experience video. Saying that DC Universe will sux or rox it's just a "guessing game". I hope that character creation tool will be as fun as CoH/V's.

    • Personally I think champions online will be better simply because they have done the superhero MMO thing before, they did it first and have the most experience there so I think champions will turn out better, however I will try 'em both before I decide lol.

    • The graphics look great. The trailer doesn't give a portrayal of the depth of play. Definitely looks as good or better than Champions... I read everything on Champions website and watched the videos. Not sure I like the hand drawn feel to it. Would love to see more of DC online.

    • I love superheroes, I will try this game off course, even though that DC are far from my favourite Superhero company. Yes and I will try champions online too, no need to pretend that I know what game is going to be the better one before I've gotten the chance to try them out. Time will tell

    • I could careless which is better out of Marvel or DC, because I am not a comic book nerd, not that being a nerd is a bad thing. Just saying I will enjoy the IP for what it is. However, SOE making it does leave a sinking fealing in my stomach. I do wish they used more realistic graphics, trying to emulate the movies vs. the comic books, but the style they are using now isn't bad actually. I will sit in the 'wait and see' mode and see what SOE comes up with.

    • Sure CoX has superior character customisation. The best of it's kind to date! But what good does it do when you enter the game and are faced with boring repetitive missions all the way to level 50? All mission interiors look the same! Just a couple variations here and there. That's it! After all these years NEVER adressed! All fun and dandy with the badges and such additions, but it's the missions you need to do to level up! And that is just boring and repetitive as hell! And the dying CoX community says enough (at least here in Europe).

    • So far way to much time invested in Coh/Cov and definitely a marvel fan instead of DC will stay with cox and wait for WAR to come.

    • CoH still has the supreme character creator (which they are constantly improving). As for the 'repetitive mission' argument, I have played the game for almost four years over four accounts. Most of my characters, due to their interrelated story-lines, are Magic origin. All but the ones like my Widow (Natural by default) Peacebringer (same) and Warshade (Science by default). I find there is *still* content I haven't seen, and they are adding more with each issue. I think this game will appeal more to comic fans who actually want to play with their childhood heroes like Superman and Batman rather than some Johnny-come-lately heroes like "Statesman" or "Lord Recluse". Having never really been a comic fan, I will just stick with CoH...

    • It is a game where you make your own hero and you join in with like super man or batman, you dont actully make a superman char, also wait for future infomation on it before putting SOE down, thay might actully do something good, and i enjoyed SWG even when thay altered it completely, and it seems people who put SOE down are people who dont seem to like change at all and so what thay changed SWG to what it is now, that way it is more noob player friendly for people who never even played a mmo before.

    • Meh .. Think the Mortal Kombat vs Dc will be more interesting..The only I see this working is if they really pump up the level of graphics and effects cause I'm not at all impressed with this footage.

    • LOL! What a sad bunch here. CoX so much better? Right! Never played such a boring, repetitive game like that! Even a Korean Grinder gives you more variation! Years later CoX is still the same boring repetitive unimproved mission grind! SOE screwed up with SWG true! But EQ1 and EQ2 are still going strong! People here are worse then elephants. SOE makes one screw up with NGE and it's DOOM all over the place into Eternity! You guys fail on the internet. Move on for christ sake!

    • Looks good. I think they will have to do some major marketing and offer something truly unique in-game software-wise to keep folks from shrugging and walking away. (As many people will assume as was early stated that it will be a CoH/CoV variation.)

    • Marvel SO > DC it isn't funny. This looks interesting but does everyone who plays play as a copy of the DC heroes and villains? Thats kinda.. boring. That and Champions online looks better, and CoX is great and I don't see it being out-done.

    • Looking at this vid, it doesn't seem bad, but it so much looks like COH, I know many will go "duh, it's a super hero game". I am talking about graphics and content (thou the clip doesn't show to much). It all comes down to how the missions are like. In COH, it was soooo repeditive you could drive yourself bonkers doing a mission that you swear you have seen this same setup a million times allready. The best part of COH was the bank robbery senarios etc, were interaction within the world was possible. Let us hope that DCUO get's that right!
