APB: Reloaded: The Review
All Points Bulletin was taken over by GamersFirst in 2011 and the name was changed to APB: Reloaded. Since then, the team has been hard at work to "make the game that should have been". How successful have their efforts been?

All Points Bulletin: Reloaded is a general mixed bag of awesome and frustration. Only in San Paro will you see diminutive, round-cheeked Asian females gently pummeling heavily-muscled tattooed men for their wallets and kamikaze punks, decked out in rags to make The Joker Proud, terminate the opposition by driving everyone off a bridge. Only here; the occasional Van Diesel movie notwithstanding. If this sounds like something you can get behind, APB Reloaded may be the game for you. Maybe. Like it or not, the problem with APB Reloaded is that it's just one of those games: it either works or it doesn't.

The List: Five Dead MMO Horses
There are many things that we, as MMO gamers, feel very passionately about yet sometimes spend way too much time talking about, arguing fruitlessly. In The List today, we take a look at the top five horses we love to beat into oblivion.

This is the fact of MMO life. These games are about progression, and keeping us entertained through that progression. Some titles disguise the grind better than others, but it's always there in the background. Ultimately, we're all just playing in a world, leveling our characters like we would in D&D and we hope that we enjoy ourselves enough not to notice how repetitive it all is. There's no one cure for the Grind, so how about we all just accept it as an inevitability and keep trying to figure out how to make it suck less?

Game of the Week

FireFall is an upcoming free-to-play post-apocalyptic MMO FPS developed by Red 5 Studios. Set 200 years in the future, Earth has been destroyed by an energy storm called 'The Melding,' which occurred as a result of the overuse of Crystite, a source of energy discovered by humans that ended up replacing all forms of energy on Earth.

'The Melding' destroyed much of Earth and mutated the Earth's terrain and lifeforms. The only habitable place left is, oddly enough, within the eye of the storm, where what's left of humanity attempt to survive.

Players in FireFall take on the role as one of these surviving humans and are tasked with ridding Earth of the 'The Melding,' while also battling back the 'Chosen,' a new race spawned of the storm itself.

Gameplay involves first person or third person combat in an open-world environment, and includes RPG mechanics such as loot, leveling up, and other forms of progression. Four classes, the Engineer, Assault, Recon, and Medic, have been announced so far.
