Mortal Online recently began offering a free-to-play option for interested players. We wanted to see how the F2P version stacked up. See what we discovered and then let us know what you think in the comments. Mortal Online has been gorgeously crafted, with every inch of detail taken care of. As expected the Unreal Engine provides great scope for Star Vault to do what they wish. Vast expanses and huge cities are all well-crafted, resembling medieval townships or capital cities, as they should. The use of lighting in MO is something that caught my attention with the aesthetics of the game. Light blooms, refracts and reflects beautifully off of appropriate objects and buildings, adding atmosphere and immersion to the experience. But this isn't without its flaws. Players enter a fantasy world and start play on one of two continents: Nuia (Elves), and Harihara (Ferres). From there, everything else is up to you, from what character you play, to where you go, and why. ArcheAge promises to remove the restrictions that have hampered former MMORPGs, especially concerning character classes and skills. Go where you will, do what you want, be the character you want to be. Learn more about ArcheAge here, or check out our game list here. |
