Dawn of Fantasy: Review
505 Games and Reverie World Studios have an ambitious goal to change the MMORTS browser genre with Dawn of Fantasy. We check out DoF and see if it's living up to the hopes of its developers and publishers.

Dawn of Fantasy, if it wasn't completely obvious from the title, is a fantasy based title. You choose from Humans, Elves or Orcs as your race and proceed to carve out a corner for yourself in the land of Mythador. Everything is fairly stereotypical as far as the story goes: Elves make the best archers, Orcs are strong and dumb, Humans are kinda middle of the pack, jack of all trades and master of none. The King of the land has decreed that the world/land be divvied up to new leaders, one of which is you. He also then decrees that said new leaders have to fight it out (once the newbie protection wears off of course.) Other than the fact that it has been taking out of the browser and made client based, Dawn of Fantasy plays pretty much how you'd expect it to if you've played previous attempts at an MMORTS game. So let's get into the nitty gritty and just see how well (or badly) Dawn of Fantasy handles the different aspects of gamehood.

Neverwinter: The Foundry Shapes the Game
One of the more exciting features that will ship with Cryptic's Neverwinter is the Foundry, a way for players to create and share mods to the game. We've got a first look preview straight from Gamescom.

The Foundry in Neverwinter is one of the most exciting things being made in the genre today. If you don't know what it is, here's the quick run-down: it's a toolset for user-generated content. Yes, just like the old days, you will be able to manufacture your own quests, scenarios and designs for public consumption. Unlike the old days, however, The Foundry is built for the plug-and-play generation. No additional installations required.

Game of the Week
Neverwinter is an upcoming free-to-play MMO from the combined team of Wizards of the Coast, Hasbro, Cryptic Studios, and Perfect World. It will put players into the heart of Neverwinter, one of the most infamous cities in Dungeons & Dragons lore.

Set 100 years after the Spellplague, and after the volcanic eruption that destroyed the city, Neverwinter is slowly restoring its former glory. But in the deep, dark places in and under the city, evil forces are seeking ways to keep Neverwinter from that goal, by any and all means possible.

Players will need to once again answer the call for heroes to help save the city!
