ARGO Online: Review
Argo Online bills itself as a steampunk MMO and we've been testing out that theory in preparation for our latest review. See how Argo Online stacks up to its lofty goal and as a new entry into the MMO-space.

World War IV took its toll, now it is steampunk versus fantasy in a post-apocalyptic world. ARGO Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game brought to life by Korean developer and publisher, MGame. The free-to-play title launched on April 21, 2011, and is about to get its biggest content update since launch. Will an increase to the level cap and a host of new high-level content be enough to keep the boat afloat?

WildStar: Jeremy Gaffney Talks Progress
WildStar is a game that is squarely on many people's radar these days and Carbine Studios is ready to unleash more information on its fans. We managed to catch up to Executive Producer Jeremy Gaffney to talk about WildStar.

We knew we wanted a truly interactive environment from early on - that's why we developed the technology that allows us to change the world at runtime, allowing player interactions to have a significant impact on the world around them.

Then in one area, we added some of these elements - and it was fun. So our teams have worked ever since to add more of this throughout the world. It was also important to build our Paths system so that they were a big part of that interactive world technology. Through the process of iteration, we have been able to get more and more creative with these elements, making Nexus a pretty vibrant place to be.

Game of the Week
Wizard101 places you into the role of a student at a school for student wizards in this MMORPG. Players create a character and then enter one of seven magical schools. After learning the ropes and some new skills, players plunge into the magical, sometimes humorous storyline.

The story quests follow the player's journey to stop the evil wizard Malistaire Drake and foil his various schemes. There are magic classes, wizard duels and more for each player to discover. Obvious Harry Potter influences aside, the game distinguishes itself with many roleplaying opportunities, quests, an abundance of skills to master, as well as a collectible card battle system.

Wizard101 is suitable for players of all ages. The game is accessible through two unique means - subscription and a la carte. A monthly subscription will open up all areas and features, but another option is to buy "crowns" from the item shop and use them to unlock one or two areas at a time (for around $1-3). These areas will stay open permanently after purchase.
