The game is in development at Zenimax Online and is set 1000 years prior to the events of Skyrim. Players will play as a member of one of three factions (comprised of a total of nine familiar Elder Scrolls races) in an effort to stop the Daedric Prince Molag Bal who seeks to conquer all of Tamriel. Many of the familiar provinces from the series will appear in the game in one form or another, but the three factions will all clash in conflict over the Imperial homeland of Cyrodiil with the goal of placing an Emperor of their own upon the throne. The Elder Scrolls Online is set to launch in 2013. Be sure to stay tuned to MMORPG.com for all the latest information and media on the game!
