	Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising: Review

In our official MMORPG.com site review of Heatwave Interactives Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising, Managing Editor Bill Murphy puts the game through its paces to see how it measures up. In the end, I cant wholeheartedly recommend Gods & Heroes just yet. Theres a lot of great questing to be had, and its plain to see that theres a good game lying underneath all the bugs and lack of polish. But as a player, I think Heatwaves still got to get a few more patches under their belts before G&H has what it takes to earn a spot in my lineup of go-to games. The setting and minion system are great ideas, but all the other features that make an MMO worth paying for monthly need to be added in stat to keep folks past the first month. All is not lost, thats for sure, but keep an eye on this one for now and lets see if Heatwave can live up to their promises of more and better content.

	Bill Murphy: Can PlanetSide 2 Redeem SOE?

In this week's column, Managing Editor Bill Murphy takes a look at the recent unveiling of Planetside 2 and wonders aloud whether or not the MMOFPS will be enough to bring SOE back into the good graces of the hardcore MMO gamer.

There is little denying these days that the MMOFPS is on the rise. As Drew Woods latest DA column says, pretty much every other game on the horizon throws the FPS mechanics into the MMO formula. But the one that will now be watched vigilantly by just about everyone is no doubt Planetside 2. Tribes: Universe, Dust 514, Defiance... they all sound fantastic. But if there is one blend of shooter and MMO that people look to fondly when they think hybrid it is the original Planetside. The question though is whether or not SOE can live up to the stacked expectations for Planetsides sequel.
