Finalist Voting Opens

We have narrowed the list to a few nominees in each category. Now it's your turn to vote.

Finalists for PvE: EVE Online and World of WarCraft

MMO Gamers seem to be squarely into two camps: those who prefer PvE (player vs. environment) combat and those who prefer PvP (player vs. player). In this category, we ask you to consider which game provided you with your favorite monster hunting (NPC) experience in 2006.

Last year, World of Warcraft was our winner. The running was close between these two games, so now it's time to see who has the edge in the final voting with all the other games eliminated.

The Finalists

EVE Online, CCP Games

The fans of this came are certainly tenacious. Primarily known as a PvP game, EVE Online's qualification for this final pairing is a bit of a surprise. Last year, they were not even nominated. That's why it's called Reader's Choice. Does EVE provide the PvE experience necessary to take the title away from World of Warcraft?

World of Warcraft, Blizzard Entertainment

World of Warcraft is the polar opposite of EverQuest II. It has impeccable art direction, but low-tech graphics. It's an eternal debate of style vs. substance, with some preferring to push their graphics cards to the limits, while others just want something pleasing to the eye.
