More than thirty-thousand votes have been cast: now the winners

Finally after weeks of voting, we're down to one winner in each of the seven categories. We learned a lot this year and hope that this evolves into an annual tradition. We are pleased, however, with how things turned out in this first attempt. Nonetheless, we want to hear what you think could be improved, possible new categories and other feedback in our comment thread.
