World of Warcraft Patch 3.3 is the last patch of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion before the game changes forever with Cataclysm. Although, with the coming expansion, one cannot help but wonder if this loot will still be worth the effort in a few months. Blizzard has made this mistake with the original Naxxramus release when they launched it just a few months before Burning Crusade came out. Players basically ignored the content in favor of the expansion, which had better gear that overshadowed that found in Naxxramus. Hopefully, Blizzard learned their lesson.
So, here are the top five things to look forward to in World of Warcraft Patch 3.3:
5. Shadowmourne (two-handed axe)
As many of us know, Legendary Weapons in WoW are not easy to come by. The two-handed axe Shadowmourne will be something for the elite guilds to strive for. It should provide the DPS classes with something really cool to swing around. With the Death Knights rolling against the Warriors, and the Warriors rolling against the Paladins, and of course the Hunters rolling on everything, this should be a very highly sought after item. The axe offers some great stats and has a very cool design, almost like the Frostmourne sword. You can also get Shadow’s Edge, another two handed axe that will drop in Icecrown. This weapon looks like it represents closure for Death Knights of this expansion. It is the ultimate weapon for them. Unfortunately, Blizzard seems to have a hard time making two handed swords for Death Knights; they are few and far between. The only kicker is that players want to wield Frostmourme when they defeat the Lich King. We have to settle for an axe instead.
4. Tier 10 Armor Sets
Nothing beats checking out the previews of the Tier 10 armor sets. At this point, it is more about the look of the armor than the actual stats for me. The Shaman set that just leaked today looks awesome and is the first set of armor that has hooked me on visuals alone. It seems like Blizzard has taken player concerns into account and is actually trying to make armor look a little more rugged and powerful. Paladins have had it the worst with their sets of Power Ranger Armor. This time around, what they’re getting actually looks kind of cool; no doubt a welcome change. Check out the leaks and previews on the intrawebs. The Tier Ten sets are looking good and have more of a rugged style than some of what we have seen in the past. Hopefully Blizzard will give us a lot of ways to get these armor sets with an upgrade to the emblem system and scaled raids.
3. Quest Tracking Feature:
Hehehe TOO LATE! Sorry Blizzard no one is looking forward to this. Anyone who has recently leveled a character has used Quest Helper. It has to be the number one downloaded add-on for your game. A feature that shows “general direction” isn’t going to help anyone. I know, after five years, you likely had to put it in, but this one hits me as too little too late. Warhammer did it a year ago, and Quest Helper has been around for a while. The only reason someone might be looking forward to this is that they have never played the game before. Then they might find it useful in leveling.
I suppose it needs to be an official in game feature though, finally. I know many people view WoW as the innovator in MMOs. I disagree here. WoW really did not do anything insanely creative with their game. They simply took the best ideas that were out there, packaged them better than anyone else and built a game that had a smooth play system. WoW was built on the backs of Ultima, EverQuest, and Dark Age of Camelot. All of the good ideas from these games were filtered and added into Warcraft from day one. WoW has the luxury of taking game play designs and systems and having the time to perfect them before they enter the game. Now with the patches and expansions, Blizzard has an endless canvas to see what new ideas are out there, make them their own in WoW and implement them without fear of flaws or break downs in the game. I joke about the quest tracking feature, but Blizzard continues to keep their game competitive by making good ideas better, no matter where they came from.
2. New Five Man Dungeons
This seems to be the best feature that Blizzard has added with Wrath of the Lich King. The Heroic Dungeon system is run by everyone with daily quests and great ways to get gear for your guild mates who don’t raid. Now we have things like The Forge of Souls and the Pit of Saron to look forward too. Hopefully Blizzard will fully augment this system in 3.3 to have challenging and fun dungeons for players to run. The best addition to the five man experience was the Trial of the Crusader five man heroic dungeon. It gave decent gear and emblems as well as a fun fight in only thirty minutes of game play. These events are perfect for players who do not have a lot of time on their hands to play and can only log-in a few short hours a week. It allows them to stay somewhat competitive and get a great fight in with little time. Hopefully the five mans in 3.3 will give players this same burst of game play without having to be logged in for four hours to complete an epic raid.
1. The Lich King
One of the biggest improvements in Wrath of the Lich King was more involved storytelling, specifically through the Lich King. He kept popping up in different quests and scenes causing trouble and giving you his minions to fight. Now it is time for sweet revenge.
With Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, the Lich King became an iconic character in the game universe. Now Arthas will face millions of players worldwide as they try to bring him down. Having the ability to face him in scaled ten-man or twenty-five-man raids will make the experience fun and exciting. It will also bring some closure to the threads they’ve laid for months.
My only concern is how the timing lines up against Cataclysm. My guess is that we will see 3.3 sometime in early 2010, possibly even the end of 2009. If this is correct we will get a good solid year of game play out of Patch 3.3. Mike Morheim said at Blizzcon that Cataclysm would launch in 2010, along with Starcraft II. So the question is how much will Patch 3.3 be worth once Cataclysm comes out? My guess is very little beyond the memories.
If history has shown us anything it is that with new expansions comes the quick search for new gear. It is things like the achievement system that gives WoW some more ground for players other than just searching for loot. Hopefully the Lich King encounter will be as epic as ever, hopefully it will have a cool cut scene in the ending. Something that makes players excited to try it again, beyond just the search for loot. Blizzard did a good job putting the character throughout the expansion and now players can step up and take a shot at the legend. Let’s hope it is worth it.

Was this a typo?

LOL, I was just about to post the same thing ;) I think he means 3.3 will come out early 2010 or even late 2009(isnt it late already?). :)
Sorry, that was my mistake on the editing pass. I misread it (thought he was talking about Cataclysm for a second) and changed the years. Fixed.
What about LFG System? Its not coming in the next patch?:( That was the thing i was looking forward for to get some life back into the classic WoW dungeons thats impossible to find group for on a single server.
I hope that they update the Arthas story and raids to match the new level and gear cap.- Make Naxx and UL/ IC 85+ raids and have the new tier 11s drop out of there
The new LFG system will be in 3.3. Surprising this didn'y make the top 5.

Has a LFG system ever really worked in any game? No reason to believe it will be any better this time around either. (Blizzard already tried once before)
Yeah, instead the author put in the Quest helper part....which like he said, no one cares about because everyone downloads Quest helper, or for the intelligent playerbase, Carbonite. The new LFG system/Cross Realm system is what I personally am looking forward to, even more than the new raids/dungeons because I am a huge alt-a-holic and having this tool updated and being able to run dungeons(especially lower level ones while leveling) will be so much better.
/yawn..... this game is done, all move to the next

I've been saying this for 5 years, and everyone who had played an MMO previous to wow, turned a blind eye. Blizz didn't do anything new. They NEVER have. they just change the way it worked.
and Blizz claimed to "Innovate inventory."
and people believed them...
I cant believe he left out the new LFG system.
LFG will now allow you to group with people on any server in your battlegroup. LFG just got 40x as many people in it. That is freaking huge for PUGers.
Heck if no extra people start using LFG you will still find at any given time 40-80 people for most instances, and with how easy that will make it to put together a PUG I have a funny feeling many more people will be using it.
Sorry Garrett, but compared to the 5 things on your list, to non-raiders like myself this is the number 1 change for 3.3 and you completely left it off the list.
Bad article.
New LFG system is like, #1 on everyone's list.
Not to mention Heroics dropping Triumph badges, weekly Raid quests... way to pick the top 5 most superficial features, oh, and by the way, 90% of people who actually do more then just raid will agree.
Garrett Fuller sure not in Blizzard's Pocket
Nice flame at the new Quest tracking system
Jon Woods would have wrote a better post on the New Quest Tracking
The Quest Helper Mod
That we use in the game uses a lot of your interface memory.
also it ask you to update your quest to a website.. in order to help the mod
I am glad that blizzard is making quest tracking better
i hope also that this will be for other mods as well..
Sure be better than .....
I got hacked!!!!! I downloaded a mod from this ....site and it had a key logger..
be nice if blizzard controlled the mods
i sure blizzard would have no need to hack your account.
If these are the best five things they can come up with then they must have run out of anything worth coming up with.
"With the Death Knights rolling against the Warriors, and the Warriors rolling against the Paladins, and of course the Hunters rolling on everything, this should be a very highly sought after item."
I lol'd
Agreed, my thoughts exactly.
Seriously, who in the hell posts this crap....
I always get all excited when I get my email about some new WoW article from MMORPG and it is nine times out of ten.... CRAP!
Why would you use a top five slot to talk about something everyone does NOT like, OMFG!
This is like reading one of the countless class guides that would tell you to stack spell power on a Death Knight.
I give this article one big /golfclap
Top 1 would be LFG feature.
Honestly I don't like at all the look of tier 10 items, time for blizzard to implement a decent social clothing feature and dyes!
And yet you bothered to read it, and comment, no less. Says something, really.
Quest helper?
I've never used a quest helper of any kind in any game.
How lame!
That's like cheating..what's the point of playing then? Better off reading a book or watching a movie then.
New 5 mans? I quit the game because of the zerg fest the 5 mans are currently. I don't care to play a game where there is no strategy. Right now every one just AOEs everything down and the tank AOEs to hold everything .. stupid stupid stupid. The game use to have some fun strategy before WOTLK. Not to mention the sell of virtual items for real life cash. If you don't want that in your games in the future don't support blizzard by subscribing to their game.
"sell of virtual items"? There must be something seriously FUBAR'd with the education system in NC.
As for Blizzard having a cash shop...guess you'll be giving up MMOs then, amiright? Since by that definition, every non-garbage game right now is as bad or worse. On the bright side, you could take your new-found free time and read a book.
who would want to Re grind a insty for new gear...
who would want to Re grind a insty for new gear...
Have you ever heard about Onyxia?
Truthfully, the best innovators in MMOs have been WoW mod developers. I believe a lot of things that are standard in MMOs now were first seen as mods in WoW. The smart thing that Blizzard did was to make WoW very easy to create addons for. I don't think WoW would have been nearly as successful without its modding community.
And not that it matters very much, but I think he was talking Cataclysm in that typo. I think he meant to say: "My only concern is how the timing lines up against Cataclysm. My guess is that we will see Cataclysm sometime in early 2011, possibly even the end of 2010. If this is correct we will get a good solid year of game play out of Patch 3.3."
so says the disgruntle eq2 player :)
"..One of the biggest improvements in Wrath of the Lich King was more involved storytelling,..."
Oddly enough, this what ruined the game for me. Even in Burning Crusade, when they tried to tell the story directly, the game just seemed to get worse. The lore was really cool.. now it's terrible.
Edit: OK, maybe not what ruined the game, but the lore, there's a lot of crap that ruined the game.
boring
move the carrot and people follow
lemmings
Have you ever heard about Onyxia?
Yes I have. But imo Onyxia's Revamp was to Re-introduce newer people to a raid they may have never done because they were not around pre bc.Heck even I never had a chance to do onyxia (played off and on for 4 years). and to update some of the Classic armor sets that still look slick :). Just they way I precieve it.
Not everyone has the luxury of a wonderful sense of direction. I'm sure there are things you aren't as good at.
Not everyone has the luxury of a wonderful sense of direction. I'm sure there are things you aren't as good at.
Using proper paragraph structure, for instance.
please shutup
So....ermm.....Garretts top 5 things coming in the next WoW patch are an axe, some armour, a quest tracking system that no-one is going to need (so why is this in the top 5 then you idiot?), some new dungeons and a boss fight with the Lich King. The dungeons and the boss fight are probably the only things worth mentioning.......and they're not really that exciting. What a shit article.
Asking other players for advice with quests is also cheating then in that case. I found the quest tracker to be a blessing actually. It saved me from wasting countless boring hours/days/weeks running around like a headless chicken looking for static object #5765765765765. You dont seriously find that enjoyable do you? Besides what difference does it make? Everyone will get through the game sooner or later anyway. If you want to waste your time and money then thats up to you.
Has a LFG system ever really worked in any game? No reason to believe it will be any better this time around either. (Blizzard already tried once before)
Did DAoC have one? (Pre ToA) I can't remember. Or was it just /who Cleric 40 ? :)
Finally the players get to put that annoying talkative git in his place.
Personally for the LFG system worked pretty well when I played the game last, not that there wasn't room for improvement. But compared to when it was introduced and no one ever used it, I was happy to see it working reasonably well.
Kind of dreading the patch myself as I think that the cross-realm dungeon system is an awful idea that will destroy the community in World of Warcraft.
Has a LFG system ever really worked in any game? No reason to believe it will be any better this time around either. (Blizzard already tried once before)
There have been many attempts by blizzard to add a LFG system....
1. just a LFG chat channel (seemed fine at the time) - Vanillia
2. Queue up via meeting stones (auto queue feature - never used) - Vanillia
3. 1'st attempt at a LFG inferface (did any one ever use this?) - TBC
4. 2'nd attempt at a LFG interface (much more successful) - Wotlk
and now #5 which is kind of all the above mixed into 1 and some more.
In what has become know as the PUG dungeon system
You can join the PUG system as a group, so lets say you got 4 guild guys together or 4 peeps from your server but are lacking a tank, join the PUG system as a group and the system will find you a tank from (in my case) 14 servers.
I think this is fine for dunegons and GREAT for low-level dungeons but, theres talk and even UI in the PTR for PUG raids made this way, man thats goona be hard to get right... I mean how are we goona check Achievements :p (man I hate that achievement crap "link achivements blah blah").
Linkable achivements and flying mounts.. my two WoW hates .. rank over.
I see we share the same dislikes (flying mounts as killers of immersion, and achievements as the new reputation grind tool)
Well to elaborate:
Flying mounts killed World PVP (IMHO), they also stop blizzard creating some content, take the ice-crown zone, there are I think 3 walls/gates you need to get through before you hit the citedel, if there were no flying mounts there could of been a cool world event where you need to break down the defences of the 4 gates before your server can unlock the citedel (ala AQ in vanillia wow).
And achievements are fine, but its been abused by players, wanna join a raid or even some guilds then you need to link your achievements, if you don't have full ulduar achivements etc then your out of luck.
Pretty poor article all round, just got a whole "lets have a dig at Blizzard" feel to it rather than a 'best new features' article.
Agree with most that have posted, how did the new LFG system not make this top 5??
Also feel that the writer completely missed the boat on the changes to the quest tracking system entirely. The most important change to the system is the overall look and accessibility for the user in joining the quest log with the map rather than jumping backwards and forward between the two. Although questhelper is a good add on it takes a lot of resource and isn't completely faultless itself, so integrating a similar system into the game in this way just makes sense, whether or not it is innovative.
Looking forward to the patch as and when it appears and like the changes to the character creation too, should give new players especially a better idea of which direction to take their characters in and where their characters strengths are.
What a L A U G H.
If you would have taken ONE second at the web and look at wow.com, you would KNOW that the cross server dungeons is THE
NUMBER ONE on the the new patch 3.3.
It will allow 24/7 GROUP play whenever wherever you want it and at whatever level you are.
The PUG system too is adepted with "filling" the holes on auto mode for the group members being searched.
THIS site became a JOKE with that 8.7 for a Korean money catcher.
----> If you can't even follow up these new features on mmorpg number one, just stop publishing.
YOU are making a fool out of "mmorpg".com
Edit: BTW: Cataclysm already starts its alpha phase... that means 6 months pre publish.
There you go with you 2011 smart ass post.
You aren't seeing the big picture man.
For one, on my notoriously low population server, Demon Soul, I never have to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes for a group, so what is the point of this? Really?
Secondly, adding cross-realm dungeons isn't going to do anything but destroy any sense of community this game has left, and well, community is really what an MMO is about. So you can go on your little hyper-active fan boy spree all you want, but these changes are not good, and the glory days of WoW are long past.

The point is that players might be able to do low-lvl dungeons like DM,SM, ST and others at their level range, with a 5 man group(Yeah, boosting is faster and better, but you know, the last time i did a low-level dungeon with a proper 5man, at a proper level was like 2 years ago, I'd like to do that again). Not to mention, on SSL you barely see any heroic groups.
And for the community...there's your guild, WoW forums(lol) and realm drama. Something will always happen and create some drama on the server.

Oh how I love drama.
I understand about the lower level dungeons, and that's a good thing and all, but it's not going to be so good at end game, which is what really matters to a lot of people.

Finally! Someone that doesn't have their head shoved so far up Blizzard's butt that they can actually see the light of day! I am so sick of hearing WoW did this and WoW did that. Finally someone else that agrees with me on this point.
Nice article although the whiny, over-dramatic WoW fanboys will find fault with it I'm sure.
... with pretty active undead members I might add :)
And it is a NICE proof how silly mmorpg editors have become.
NOT talking about a revolutionary new cross server dungeon implementation in patch 3.3 but resorting to OLD HAT and very silly arguments of WHO invented WHAT and at which time...of GAMES already dead .... YEARS ago.
The only thing lacking in the article is references to Mac Donalds and Britney Spears.
The article didn't even cite the MOST important introduced factor in WOW since the clustered BG's and ladder based PvP system: the cross server dungeons.
Welcome to mmorpg.com: the dead site about dead discussions.
Cross-Server Battlegrounds killed part of the community.
PvP Ladder... really? Arena? Are you kidding me? Yeah, that's so new.
Cross-Server Dungeons? Man, who cares about the community, anymore, you are right!

I love when people start arguing about a game that they can stop playing at anytime so if you are complaining and still playing... You are a FOOL!. I still play the game and yes they borrowed features from other games and improved on them but feel free to go play EQ,DAOC or even UO because we all know they didn't screw those up. HA..
When is this patch coming? For me the new totem is the top thing i looking forward to...
Nice pitch for the game, good work MMORPG. Got your money from them.

Uh.. well that would make sense if I still was playing WoW. Turns out, I have no account anymore and zero desire to play it ever again.

Yet you get a twinkle in your eye whenever you see a new post about your beloved WoW and can't help but to give it a bump.....how grand of you. You played it, you enjoyed it, you grew tired of it, you move on......what other reason do you have to harp?
Honestly the only people I hear complain about blizzard and innovation are people hating on wow. Most everyone else just says they enjoy wow, which is usually followed by nerd rage about how blizzard didn't create anything new.
Perhaps blizzrd revolutionize game mechanics, but I don't recall anyone at blizzard claiming they did. They certainly helped forward the thinking that a game should be polished, fun first, cater to more than one niche crowd and doesn't have to needlessly punish players in order to deliver good gameplay.
As for the top 5 list, I wish games would not use directional helpers and waypoint in quests. Doing a better job with the story and overland map would do the trick. The more features that are implemented to automate quests the less important the story and world becomes. This is something I dislike very much in other games and wish it would go away. Running between preprogammed points on a map just to get some xp isn't questing. That is more like running tasks. Next we will see quest target NPCs flash when you get near them. Oh well.
The cross server LFG system looks pretty cool though.
Uh.. well that would make sense if I still was playing WoW. Turns out, I have no account anymore and zero desire to play it ever again.

You don't like it when people make good points about your game? I'm sorry. I don't understand what you mean.. why harp? Yes, I enjoyed and I didn't grow tired of what I enjoyed, that isn't part of the game anymore. Thanks.
Yes, most people enjoy WOW and those that do not suffer from nerd rage.
Plenty of people from plenty of games nerd rage. Don't be obtuse.

Just quoting your previous post.
This is the harping I was talking about. Out of all the things I can think of that Blizzard screwed up......lore is the furthest thing from my mind. As a matter of fact it's one of THE top reasons people took to it so well. Burning Crusade took a central character from it's series and gave backstory on how things like death knights, the burning legion, the naga and the blood elves came to be. Death Knights, which served as the catalysis for the next chapter/expansion, were introduced in one of the most interactive intros I've witnessed so far, even surpassing the ones in Lotro and AoC for me.
I enjoyed it, but that's my point. To each his own. But to harp on the one thing that is the foundation of ANY mmo and think in any way shape or form that it ruined the game is a bit of a stretch.

WC3 had great story, and I thought the fact that WoW Classic didn't have a huge story behind it, made it feel more immersive. The Warcraft III story really has been destroyed recently. You can make an argument for the Burning Crusade being a decent story, I won't argue with you there, I think it's a decent enough story for Warcraft.
However, Arthas was a character I liked, how he turned evil from being so foolish. Then, comes the book Arthas. No, he wasn't evil! It was that silly sword! He made Arthas do all that, no wait! Arthas is keeping the Lich King from destroying Azeroth, that's it! Bolvar is now lava man and the Lich King can't break his will. So exciting. So, very exciting.
No, I think Chris Metzen asked Christie Golden to ruin WC3, because that story was just too cool for this universe. (That's sarcasm, BTW)
I loved WarCraft. Of course I am going to be interested, I've played since WarCraft: Orcs & Humans.. back then there was no story, then in WC2 and WC3, the story really took off. Now.. now we have this... a Lich King being restrained by Arthas and Lavaman.
Just quoting your previous post.
No, you either lack the ability to read written words or intentionally misquote people in an effort to get some reaction you want.
I won't bother you with more words that explain exactly what was said, because I know it is wasted on you and everyone else understood what was said. Have a nice day.
If existing shoulderpads have not been enlarged, or the ability to put extra shoulderpads on top of your existing shoulderpads has not been introduced there is really nothing to talk about.
Replace the #3. Quest tracking feature with the new LFG system.
Why? Most people already use plugins to do exactly what blizzard is going to do in the next patch. We have been for a very long time, so no.. not many of us are looking forward to a feature we already have been using just because its not integrated into the game.
I agree with the previous poster - Tier 10 looks like some kid drew the pattern, very boring and unispiring.
Personally I hate the new blizzard concept of 10 man normal and 10 man heroic, same for 25 man version and so many Tiers - T9, T9.25, T 9.5.
Stick to basic and let us enjoy the lore instead of competing with ninjas in the game.
Talking about ninja, blizzard you seriously need to step up and penalize these ninjas. There are many on our servers who form raid groups and ninja Fragments, Mounts, orbs and many other items. Then they change their race, class and name, start the ninja deals all over again.
Pathetic....do something.....I heard MW2 is really good...
Just quoting your previous post.
No, you either lack the ability to read written words or intentionally misquote people in an effort to get some reaction you want.
I won't bother you with more words that explain exactly what was said, because I know it is wasted on you and everyone else understood what was said. Have a nice day.
Misquote? We both know what you wrote and as you put it, so does everyone else. Just as everyone knows you are owned by Blizzard and a difference of opinion about your beloved holy grail of games is the one thing you will not tolerate.
Lol now I know why you have so many posts, you basically post the same thing, worded differently, over and over and over and over again.
Cool story bro.
Fine read of things we already know about, but the paragraph of WoW history with a timeline of MMOs didn't fit and was utterly useless and too brief to hold accuracy. Anyone wanting the history should visit a WoW wiki page where that's talked about in depth.
What about the New PvP areas? and BG?
Cool story bro.
I know lots of stories. Someday I will tell you one about the guy who thought the world hung on his every word and in the end the world just hung him.
Oh Shit,,,,,What going to happen to Bolvar? The whole death from the plague thing was a big Lore Bender, but I wonder whats going to happen
Sounds like a great story. I hope everyone enjoys it.

Well we are getting there. It seems Blizz must not pay you by the word, so I assume you are on salary?
Cross-Server Battlegrounds killed part of the community.
PvP Ladder... really? Arena? Are you kidding me? Yeah, that's so new.
Cross-Server Dungeons? Man, who cares about the community, anymore, you are right!
i have to agree here with the cross server comment (kinda sorta) back before the cross server bgs. you actually recognized your enemy, and sometimes seemed to be your ONE nemisis in every BG. I remember one very ANNOYING priest that would run into a group and fear bomb everytime, i started making it a point to feral charge him everytime i seen him to force him to burn it up in the back line rather than in a mass group of us. but after the Xservers i never seemed to see that priest anymore i still had fun in there but wasn't the same.
but i did see why they did it, prior to the xservers it would take hours to get into a BG on my server. i remembered waiting close to 4 hours or more sometimes to get in an AV. one time i waited like 3.5 hours and REALLY had to use the restroom, ran pissed r/q came back and i had missed the que, was soo mad..lol
By Garrett Fuller "World of Warcraft Patch 3.3 is the last patch of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion before the game changes forever with Cataclysm. Hopefully, Blizzard learned their lesson."
i don't think Blizz learned their lession since
5. Shadowmourne (two-handed axe)
ooh ok...so? it looks very normal, non-epic to me. Taken off from some old design of yours, blizz.
4. Tier 10 Armor Sets
please stop your lazy bum bum / ran our of idea works here. ever since T6...the rest of T-armor are almost crap, the worst crap ever created from you, Blizz is your WoTLK armor design.
3. Quest Tracking Feature:
LOLMAO...joke of the year. Blizz, ya been sleeping/hiding all these years???
2. New Five Man Dungeons
nothing new to YEAH about. sounds more like for those whinners / carebears which you Blizz design/care for them.
1. The Lich King
prolly this is the only thing ppl are looking forward since the launch of WoTLK. BUT!!! worth doing it or not? Well, your Catalysm expansion coming out soon anytime round the corner. If there's a ending CG video after LK is down, prolly this is the only thing ppl may most interest in. Else invalid and waste of time till your Catalysm launch. (history back itself, Classic - BTC)
Don't ask me, it is your story. Get as creative as you want.
QFT
Too little too late.
Anyone who gets wood over this clearly doesn't realize the games next expansion is in 10-11 months, so unless it comes out Dec or prior to Mar, your going to rush to get gear and then spend the next 6 months complaining about what was the point when gear at level 81, off mobs drops, is nearly as good
Rise,repete...no,,Buh bye WoW, 4 months away and I am no longer blinded :) Your game was fun, but your methods and offers always come to late. Spend less time spending the mountains of cash, make it as it should have been and everyone will be happy
The new "Wussified" wow is just too much . Tic Tac Toe has a larger element of surprise and challange than the current WoW
But, if history is an indicator, I am sure in 2 years there will be an "old School" WoW server with XXX implemented and difficulty XXX and patches XXX removed just for the OG hard school player RAWR......no thanks ;)
Hello Kitty online might be more fun.
I'm waiting for ToR myself. I want a MMO with storyline so it's not just about greedy kids who want loot. Once the game becomes just about grinding to get loot to go on another grind to get better loot I get bored.
5. Shadowmourne -- meh, don't care.
4. Tier 10 armor sets -- you're kidding, right?
3. Quest Tracking -- I'm actually happy about this one, since I don't use addons.
4. New 5-Man Dungeons -- I pretty much stopped running the dungeons with TBC, so ... whatever
1. The Lich King -- Yawn
What I would rather see would be the introduction of new mechanics that would allow the many solo-oriented and SMALL-group-oriented players of WoW (i.e., 1 to 3 players -- NOT 5) to play the instances in this game. As it is, once I finished up the solo content of WoW (and had great fun doing so, by the way), I moved on to something else.
If Blizzard were ever to offer custom servers that allowed this, I'd resuscribe to WoW in a heartbeat. Otherwise, no thanks.
