MMORPG.com's Sean Bulger penned this extensive review and found the game to be among the top tier of recent MMO launches. It received 8.7 out of 10. A snippet: "Aion is probably one of the most polished freshly-released MMOs I've ever seen - not surprising, given that it actually was released a year ago in Korean and China - but it does mean that the game is stable, fairly well balanced, and it contains plenty of content. It's transcended the genre in a way no previous game has. From TV ads featuring William Shatner to references in popular movies like Zombieland, World of Warcraft is everywhere. It's more popular today than it was after it's launch in November 2004.
The game allows players to enter the world made popular by their famous RTS series and take one of two sides: Hoard or Alliance. While the game has extensive PvP, it is at it's heart a PvE game and shines with extensive raids, dungeon crawls and itemization.
Now moving towards its third expansion pack - Catacylsm - WoW has already put two successful updates behind it in Wrath of the Lich King and Burning Crusade.
Blizzard shows no sign of slowing down, as the company has repeatedly admitted they're also hard at work on a second MMORPG.
