Reader's Choice Favorite Story: EVE Online

The Best Story Award in our 2006 Reader’s Choice Awards marks the fourth consecutive award for EVE Online this year. With 51.8% of the vote, EVE defeated its two rivals World of Warcraft (24.5%) and last year’s winner Ryzom (23.7%).

EVE’s strengths in this category include their live events, missions, player-formed alliances and more as the game encourages its players to become active participants in the unfolding story of the EVE universe.

In this category, players were asked to consider the game’s live events, role-playing support, quests, the community itself and anything else that makes you feel like you're a citizen of more than just a video game, but a world.
