2006 Reader's Choice Award Winners

After over a month and two rounds of voting, the results are in. This year saw a pitched battle between CCP's EVE Online and World of Warcraft in a number of categories as more than 60,000 votes were cast in the nomination and final voting rounds.

Favorite New Game of 2006: None of the Above

Every year, a new crop of MMORPGs is announced. This year, when we asked our members to tell us which of the games released in 2006 that they enjoyed most, the answer came back loud and clear.

In the end, MMORPG.com members registered their overall disapproval of the 2006 releases by voting “None of the Above”. The nominees in this category failed to even come close to the 62.6% winner.

Guild Wars Factions/Nightfall came the closest with 20.1% of the vote, while Dungeons and Dragons Online (11.5%) and Auto Assault (5.8%) followed behind.
