Tournament a Great Success - Shot Online - MMORPG.com

OnNet recently made a press release regarding the final results of their special tournament event for Shot-Online - the golfing MMORPG that is currently in open beta testing.  Here is the release:

Shot-Online US Open Tournament Results: A Great Success

(Sunnyvale, CA - December 20, 2004) - At the end of four days of heated online golfing competition, two winners were crowned as champions in the Shot-Online US Open tournament. The conclusion of the tournament was one of the highlights of the Happy Christmas LAN Parties at the Web2Zone center, held December 7th and 8th; and at the Internet PC Cafe in Los Angeles, California, held December 10th and 11th. The LAN parties and the Shot-Online tournament drew hundreds of visitors and participants over the course of the two days.

New York winners:
Champion: Kathy 0926
2nd Place: KellyKuehne
3rd Place: SuperHole
4th Place: bubbeltea

Los Angeles winners:
Champion: God
2nd Place: StonedAge
3rd Place: Mr. Grinch

The champions won a laptop computer; the second place winners were awarded a PDA; and the third-place winners won a graphics card and fourth-place winners walked away with an MP3 player. Participants in the Shot-Online tournament will receive a range of online items as a result of their involvement in the tournament.

"So many users participate Shot-Online US Open, it turned out to be a great success thanks to all our members concern and participation," stated Ewa Kang, Service & Marketing Division, Marketing Team for OnNet Co., Ltd. "In 2005, we'll add a system to Shot-Online similar to the PGA tour, to open more tours and tournaments. We promise that we will develop this game to make a worldwide cyber tour possible."

Shot-Online (http://www.shot-online.com) is currently in beta in North America, is an online golfing simulation, featuring fully 3D graphics, motion captured animation, skill enhancement, golfing item purchases and exchanges and quests. The Shot-Online US Open was sponsored by the Korean government through the gameNgame.com (http://www.gamengame.com) project.
