Webzen has announced that Shot Online is heading to Steam in celebration of its 14th anniversary. The classic golf game will arrive on January 22nd and will provide competitive players with something "more than just an online sports game". Webzen will continue its robust development cadence and will be "supporting new players by providing various packages that contain valuable items".
Webzen is celebrating a decade of Shot Online, most notably with an update later this week. EU players will see new content arrive on October 24th, while NA players will see the update drop on October 25th. Major aspects of the patch include an updated course selection UI as well as three brand new game modes, EXP, Drop and NG Courses. In EXP/NG courses, players will receive enhanced drop rates for both.
Shot Online: World Championship for mobile devices has started closed beta testing. It is a mobile adaptation of Shot Online and allows players to experience golf in real-time in a multiplayer environment. World Championship brings three game modes to mobile players including Betting Challenge, Academy and Event Matches.
The latest update has been deployed to Webzen's golf simulator Shot Online. In this patch, high end players at level 200+ will be able to take part in the Honor Pro system that unlocks up to 2200 Expert Skills through earning Honor Points to unlock them. On March 15 Shot Online will be updated with a huge content expansion that brings more than 5000 minutes of gametime to players.
